 -- looks like you listed everyone but the grad assistants and the tackle eligible!

I am excited to see what happens with the QB race. CGM's comments about Marshall today were telling. Can Kiehl have a huge comeback? Will Wallace's work ethic put him on top?

Thanks again, WEAU!

Blake Burgress fullback is coming back. He has graduated.

I've heard a rumor but they haven't confirmed it yet. I'll remove him when its confirmed.

Thanks for the work on this. Interesting observations. Although one thing jumps out from the past couple years depth chart. Our team with the addition of the JC guys signed today is no longer a young team at all. Lots of Srs and Jrs on the 2 deep. Big question is will they buy into what CGM is selling?

Its not a rumor...his dad mentioned it on the Rick and Bubba show a couple months ago.

I have a lot of disagreements with that projection. ...you don't bring in juco guys to sit the bench

Hard to say right now with new coaches and I'll get better projection when A-Day scrimmage is over.

I expect Corey Grant to be used like McCalebb on the Jet Sweep, rather than an inside runner like Mike Dyer and Tre Mason. Grant is claimed by teammates to be almost as fast as Ontario McCalebb.

I would put money on Carl Lawson and Montravious Adams starting from day one, especially Adams, we don't have anybody on the line who is even close to his athleticism and size and the DL guys don't have any complex responsibilities in CEJs system from what I understand. That and I think all of the Jucos will be in the 2 deep. Either Cam Artis Payne or Peyton ?Barber will be a starter as power back, probably Artis-Payne. I think Nick Marshall will also be a starter at either QB or CB and Jason Smith will be in the three deep at QB or in the two deep in the Slot or Split End. I hope we can afford to RS J Johnson because once he puts on some weight he will be amazing in CGMs system and it would be nice to have him as long as possible.

Yep. this projection has all jrs and srs starting on defense.

I don't know squat who can do what but i do know Corey Grant won the 6A 100 meters in track as a high school jr and again as a sr. He is very fast. I'm gonna tell Gus to pencil him in at the OMAC position.

That's a great list... the only problem is that it's the same crummy line-up we ran out there last year.

I would definitely expect to see some huge changes in the depth chart before fall camp! Remember, we brought all these juco's in the play right away!

ps. Look for Frazier and Marshall to be the quarter back... not Wallace.

Only if I was a betting man! Both Lawson and Adams are very talented but dominating under sized high school opponents and a few camps don't equate to immediately starting on the college level. Don't be suprised if the same players from last years disappointing team appear to the dominating players they were expected to be.

Im a star gazer (cause they matter). There is abudantly more talent on this roster than what CGC inherited in 2009 (recruiting was not Genes weakness). There are ample options to address every area concern, IMO. With competent coaching and next years favorable schedule this group could do great things.

Only if I was a betting man! Both Lawson and Adams are very talented but dominating under sized high school opponents and a few camps don't equate to immediately starting on the college level. Don't be suprised if the same players from last years disappointing team appear to the dominating players they were expected to be.

I think Lawson has the talent to start game 1. Nosa has never really impressed.

Very concerned about DBs. Jake Holland? Really? You have to make a team punt to need a punt returner. LOL. Looks good in a lot of areas.

Maybe JH is good at returning punts.

CAP will be the workhorse this year and I agree with you on Lawson and Adams, they will play this fall. Don't give up on KF, Malzahn liked what he saw in him and will coach this kid. Just terrible chemistry with him and Loeffler.

I dont see any true freshmen beating anybody out on defense...thats a rare feat and if it actually happens it only confirms how bad we really are. Im not saying these incoming players wont be great but I have a hard time remembering many true freshmen coming in and starting on defense right away @ Auburn. Larry Casher did it at corner and was a terrific player....Tracy Rocker was a RS freshman when he came in and immediately led the team in tackles. It'll be interesting to watch.
