All things rankings

This will serve as an all items class rankings thread. Composite and Rivals rankings are very easy to do and I will post them in this OP.

For the composite class rankings go to Auburn's class calculator page Type in a recruit's name or names in the box under where it says "Players to Add". Click on "Calculate New Projected Score" and Presto! you have Auburn's projected score. Lastly take the new score and compare it to the current composite team rankings

Rivals is pretty simple. Each number grade for each prospect has an associated point value and each recruit in the Rivals 250 are given bonus points. Here are the point values and the formula along with an example from Rashaan Evans.

To find what a recruit is worth to class rankings go to his Rival's Profile page Using Rashaan Evans as an example in the link provided we see in the black box Evans has a Rivals Rating of 5.9. Looking at the table below we see 5.9 rating is worth 120 points. From his profile we see Evans is ranked 95 nationally. Look at the table and we see the 91-95 ranked recruits get 34 bonus points. Add 120+34 and we see Rashaan Evans is worth 154 points to a class. Then take that 154 and add it to Auburn's team point value. Right now Auburn has 1883 points. Link Add the 154 from Evans and you get 2037. That would put Auburn 8th in team rankings.

Rivals Rating points + Rivals250 Bonus Points = Total Points

Rivals Rating (RR) Scale (Top 20 rated commitments)

*Prospects without an assigned rating will count for no points. All FBS committed prospects will have a rating once evaluated and rankings are updated.

Pretty cool, but pet peeve alert. It's voila, no waalaa.

Wonder if you'll have to project players to other schools to get good predictions

Makes my head hurt! Ryan Smith, Dee Ford and Chris Davis would have dragged us down big time!

Thankfully, we have our intrepid ellitor to do all this stuff for us!

I'm not sure I understand this.

Me, too, but I know our recruiting nerds (truly meant in love, fellers) will keep it simple and understandable for us that aren't up to snuff on this stuff. Their tireless work is much appreciated!

I'm not sure I understand this.

It's a way to play "make believe" when you're bored and have nothing else to do. I may even give it a try on some cold, blustry January day when outdoors activities aren't practical.

Yup. This is fun. If we add Evans & Presty we move up to 7th. If we can add SDH to that then we project 4th in team rankings.

Plus Bessent makes us 2

Yeah. That's still a pipe dream right now so I was not going to post it.

I added Prestwood, Evans, Hamilton and A. Williams and got 268.07 and it would put us at #2.

Good call. I forgot A-Dubb

Hey guys. I have transformed this into an all in 1 class rankings and projections thread. I have changed the OP and put in there the easy steps to find out what recruits are worth on the composite and Rivals rankings. I also added the point value table from Rivals for easy reference. Feel free to use this thread as an all class rankings discussion and ask any questions you may have about class rankings or projections from any of the recruiting sites.

Our BEST case scenario:

Add:

Shaun Hamilton

Rashaan Evans

Jordan Prestwood

Andrew Williams

Davon Godchaux

Kalavaraz Bessent

Travis Rudolph/Malachi Dupree

Now I know why they call it "Best" case ;)

What's the scoop with DG?? He's been considered a virtual lock for LSU.

What's the scoop with DG?

Nothing much really.

That's about what I expected. As soon as LSU honored his offer after he blew out his knee, his recruitment was effectively over. He's always said he was taking 5 officials, too.
