The guy seems to never shut up and goes on and on about details that are unnecessary. He'll be 75 years old when the season starts. ESPN has much better play by play announcers. Yes, that works well for watching live, but watching a replay, you're stuck with musburger. I guess you could buy access to the radio replay too....... They will still likely be the announcers for the #2 SEC game each week (still behind Verne and Gary for the #1 pick). Musberger and Palmer will basically be doing the number 3+ game each week. What I don't understand is why Palmer is with the network at all much less on a broadcast team for a live event. He must have pictures on somebody. Every time I listen to him, I get more and more amazed at how little he knows about the game. For him to be an analyst is just inconceivable to me. He's just BAD at what he does. He has no idea what he's talking about, he can't tie his tie right, and overall adds nothing to my game watching experience.. Rag on Finebaum all you want. I'd gladly take him over Jesse Palmer. Musberger...that was their excuse to slide him out of ESPN. Surely a year or two and he'll be done. I expect a good bit of experimentation in the first two years as they strive for the right mix.
