State of the NBA

If anybody wants to see just how far the NBA has declined in talent, go watch the replay of the 1992 NBA All Star game when Magic won the MVP. It will blow your mind at how fast those guys played, and how incredibly precise and efficient the ball movement was. Guys these days would quit the game if they had to play against those guys in their prime. It's not even close.

This years spurs played the most like that type of basketball. That's why they destroyed the heat. The European players play a far more disciplined classic style of basketball as opposed to the Americanized street ball.

In 1992 most players stayed in college and learned to play basketball before going to the NBA. Now with one and done they are in the NBA mostly based on being just good athletes.

I agree. There needs to be a rule set up to keep these guys in college to keep the association from getting so watered down. And if these kids want to go to Europe and play to skirt that rule, ban them from the NBA or something.

Have the same rule as baseball. You can come right out of high school or you have to wait three years. No exceptions. If they want to go to Europe, fine but they have to wait the three years just the same.
