Project 23-8 easy sched Kentucky,Florida,Arkansas,Vandy just once. Mizzou beats us early,we beat them later. No Mason hurt them vs Colorado.Harrell needs to stop shooting three's in drive.Bowers NBA bound, remind me so much of Barkley.

Who is projecting 23-8? If that's your prediction, roll one for me, please. :)

I have grumbled about this in the past. I have no dispute playing any FBS school on any week of the schedule. But, playing Mercer, Samford, Western Carolina, and Alabama A&M is beneath any SEC school, particularly in November. However, until the SEC scheduling gets straightened out so Auburn doesn't have to play Georgia and Alabama both on the road over a 15-day period, then I can't complain about playing an FCS school in between. After all the injuries Alabama sustained against Western Carolina, they might agree an off-week would be a better approach, but I don't know if this is something the SEC is mandating. SEC schools took a lot of heat in the media for playing FCS schools in November. it is likely to get worse and just may backfire and cost the SEC a playoff spot at some point. So, I would like to see the scheduling snafus resolved then see if there is still any compelling reason to play an FCS school.

All of the new labels of schools can be very confusing to us of a low capacity of terms. I need educating if possible.

1. FBS- This covers all of the big boys including us and other conference schools such as teams from the ACC, Big 10, PAC10 & BIG12.

2. FCS- The little guys such as Samford, WCU, UT Chattanooga and so on.

Is there another classification (s)? Not to be ignorant, I just want to get all of this straight in my feeble mind.

If we're under 500 in conferene play, do we still play in the SEC Tournament?

Yes.

#12 vs #13 and #11 vs #14 seeds play on the first day.

As it stands right now, Auburn would play South Carolina in the 12 v 13 game. The winner would play Georgia.
