Great win for the guys tonight!!

Lots of effort and they looked like they had a fire burning in them.

Can not say enough about Bowers!

That UL team will be good by year end. They lost a top ten draft pick from last year but they still will probably get in tourney again.

Totally forgot it was still football season tonight.

Three take-homes:

1) We aren't afraid to pull the trigger.

2) By God, we can hit a free throw.

3) We are bloody fast.

This all goes nicely with the way Pearl has us playing. Fast teams find a way to the line. And streak-playing teams have to fire as much as possible to make those runs.

This is fan-friendly basketball.

We need a good defensive big man and we will be okay. We can finally score!

Yes. Buckets in the paint have been too easy. Although I know a lot of it is due to the way college basketball is officiated now. If real defense was played down low every possession, teams would run out of players.

The way the game is officiated, that's true....players probably learning not to just give up a foul when the offensive player is in position to make the bucket....especially when we don't have real shot blockers. Good defensive movement tonight.

Id be willing to bet Pearl has told bowers to not try and block shots to try and minimize fouls on him and keep him in the game. That means teams are going to get some shots when they get it down low until we can get some big man depth.

Really great game last night by the team. Scored 102 without one if our main scorers on the floor. We'll take a lot of threes this year but if we start hitting like we did last night them we will be very hard to beat! The team is playing very hard and will be a fun team to watch this year. Also glad to see the fans out supporting the players!

we learned from colorado loss,we looked like last year in 2nd half..too much tribbling vs colorado, harrell was jacking up dumb shots vs colorado, this game he drove. They passed and moved without the ball.Defense esp guarding the three has to improve giving up an avg of 84 a game, while scoring 85.When Mason back and that center coming on January they be second best in conf, Florida looks bad.

Also looked like we were about 5,000 feet closer to sea level. ;)
