Very interesting bill.

The cost of generic drugs has outpaced the increase in copays even with most ACA plans. One example is you have a generic that costs $21 but the copay is $10. When the drug goes up to $27 (real example), the price has risen 29%, but the insurance is picking up 54.5% more than before. Multiply that by the millions of scripts per year and you see the problem. The ACA doesn't have a way to combat this.

It easy to see how the drug companies agreed end not to oppose the ACA. The government agreed not to mess with them.

Buying drugs in mass, limiting price increases, and negotiating to add new drugs to an approved formulary would be a good start start. The Canadians also limit the liability of drug firms to lower the prices.
