"5.Keep an eye on … Nick Marshall. The rookie cornerback from Auburn University is making the transition from quarterback in college to NFL cornerback. It’s too early to say whether Marshall will make the final 53-man roster, but has shown big-time athleticism even beyond an interception returned for a touchdown in Friday practice. The Jaguars have Marshall working some with the returners, and whether or not he finds a role there he appears to have the athletic ability to make an impact on special teams until he develops as a professional defensive player."

They should be able to find a place for him.....who was the guy for the Steelers some years back...#10 who did all kinds of stuff...WR, QB , etc.....seems that with a poor team like the Jags, Nick could give them depth in lots of places.

Slash did play a little at receiver. I think he had about 40 rec and a few TD's total but never used like Randle El.

Wish they would give Nick a chance at WR. I think he would be successful. He's more athletic than Julian Edelman (another college QB who changed positions) and I think that he would have similar if not more success.

You are right. The steelers loved some athletes I guess. Slash, Randal EL, and Ward all were pretty versatile.

Hines was one of my all times favorites tough as nails..........................even being a dawg

Damn right. He would earhole a defender not paying attention in a heartbeat. Best blocking WR I've ever seen.

"In a red zone period, CB Nick Marshall left his man to break up a Chad Henne pass intended for TE Nic Jacobs in the end zone. Marshall got second-team reps through practice."

Sounds like he's making an awesome case for making the 53 man roster.
