It's probably going to be necessary now for the Republicans - ex the "Freedom Caucus" - to collaborate with the Democrats in order to get someone elected. No doubt the House will now get a real conservative who will make hard decisions and not let Obama run over them. Shut down the damn gov't if that's whatt it takes and then see the Dems scrambling. If the budget deadline passes with no budget signed by the Pres. and no CR, then it takes 60 votes in the Senate to spend ANY money. Let's see how the Dems will like that when all their entitlements are broke. Hopefully McConnelll gets the message in the Senate of they pull a coup on him. Surely you aren't serious that Gowdy is using his committee to take out Hillary. Is that because if it wasn't for this committee Hillary's private e-mail server would have never been known? He DID NOT admit that the committee was just out to get Hillary as TexasTiger claims above. He stated some facts about Hillary's fall in the polls and a vast majority saying they don't trust her. Hillary and the Dems jumped all over it for their political advantage which is common among most politicians of all stripes. The Left ( with full compliance of the MSM ) believe that the mere act of them jumping up and down and pulling their hair out at something McCarthy did NOT say they can still convince the American public that he in fact DID say something. Goes back to Bush and Cheney's " imminent threat " stance, which was never said as the Left tried to spin, or Romney's " women in binders " quote, which was purposefully taken out of context . Conversely, when Obama got cover from Candy Crowley during the debate over whether he called Benghazi a terrorist attack ( he didn't, not for many weeks ). His statement doesn't mean that the committee was created to take out Killary. It sounds more like an after affect more that a predetermined witch hunt. Killary deserves what she's getting. But no one would have known any of that had happened . . . ” Saying she was unbeatable doesn't speak to the issue of finding out the truth of Benghazi. It's like going back to Nixon and Woodward and Bernstein saying the same thing about him, yet they did their investigation and found out the truth. All McCarthy is saying is that even though Hillary was so untouchable, they were still able to get to the truth. He did screw up by trying to associate the investigation into Benghazi to her political stature though. No one can deny that. But it was a clumsy, pointless comment on his part, however factual. In no way what so ever did McCarthy ADMIT that looking into Benghazi was remotely based on politics. It's just the end result was undeniably bad for Hillary, and for good reason. She's a liar, and extremely untrustworthy. I'm fine w/ that costing McCarthy his shot at the Speakership, but hell, it's still true what he actually said. Homer and his cohorts on the Left want to spin this into something it isn't, and for good reason. They don't want folks to know the truth about Hillary.
