More like a cult of personality. Sort of hard to regulate or give oversight when anyone can self-ordain, rent a room and hang a sign out claiming to be a church.

The neighbors described it as a cult as well. This seems more like an insular handful of families ala Westboro Baptist.

Thread title should be ' cult ' beating, but then, what really is the difference between a cult, a mosque, a church, a temple....

Like what separates a gang from a crime organization to a rogue state ? The # of folks in each organization, apparently.

Everyone has their own opinion but to me, in very simplistic terms, a Christian church is where believers of Jesus Christ gather to worship, enjoy fellowship, and be disciples in their community. That doesn't mean there aren't attendees who do not profess Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
