This is a thread that will have daily (willing of course) updates on the remaining targets.

2/2/16

Announcement Times. All Times are CT.

Nigel Warrior- 7 a.m. Fox 5 in Atlanta

Ben Davis- 9 a.m. on ESPNU

Nate Craig-Myers- 10 a.m. on ESPNU

Ahmmon Richards-11 a.m. ESPNU

Landon Dickerson 11 a.m. ESPNU

Rashan Gary,- Noon on ESPN

Jayvaughn Myers- Noon on ESPNU

David Marshall- 1 p.m. broadcast unknown

Prince Sammons- 1:45 p.m. Broadcast unknown

EJ Price- 1:45 p.m. Fox 5 in Atlanta

Derrick Brown- 2 p.m. ESPNU

Notes

UGA is pretty confident they get EJ Price. AU isn't.

There are conflicting reports on if AU is really concerned about UNC w/ Nate Craig Myers. I think AU is but still give AU the edge to land Nate.

There are conflicting reports on whether distance is a factor for OT Price Sammons or not. I think it is & give Michigan St the edge to land Prince.

Derrick Brown is a true guessing game. All 4 of AU, Vols, UGA, or Bama could land him. AU may not be as confident as they were last week but AU is the team constant w/ every source so I'll give AU the edge to land Derrick.

Vols are gaining confidence for Nigel Warrior while AU is waning. Tennessee is the pick here.

Stephen Davis Jr's football fate is TBD. I just don't know if AU will ever be comfortable enough to sign him given the academic issues but if anybody does it's AU.

E's final picks

5* DT Derrick Brown - AU

4* WR Nate Craig-Myers - AU

3* CB Jayvaughn Myers - AU

4* WR Ahmmon Richards - Miami

5* LB Ben Davis - Bama

4* OL Landon Dickerson - FSU

4* OT E.J. Price - UGA

4* OT Prince Sammons - Sparty

5* DT Rashan Gary - Michigan

4* S Nigel Warrior - UT

3* DE David Marshall - UGA

A surprise for AU - No I don't have a name

2/1/16

The battle for Nate is apparently much closer than most think. It appears to be a genuine toss up right now. Apparently UNC is pounding the AU staff is gone if we don't win big next year angle.

UGA appears to be in good shape w/ EJ Price.

OT Prince Sammons is trending to Michigan St. Apparently distance is a factor.

AU is still trending w/ Derrick Brown.

Rashan Gary eliminated AU & is now down to Michigan & Clemson.

AU does not have interest in former Bama LB commit Riley Cole.

Some close to AU feel we have a descent chance & Ben wants to come to AU but they don't see it happening in the end.

AU still appears in good shape w/ Jayvaughn Myers.

AU decided to not offer S Daniel Thomas.

AU & Tennessee still feel confident each team will get Nigel Warrior. Vols supremely so.

1/31/16

Derrick Brown still seems to be trending to AU after his OV to the Vols. If true this is good news for the good guys.

It appears to be a foregone conclusion AU DE commit David Marshall will sign w/ UGA. If that happens it appears AU will not pursue anyone as a back up plan.

WR commit Eli Stove did not take his scheduled OV to Miami this weekend & is set to sign w/ AU on NSD.

AU still feels it is a very serious threat to land 4* S Nigel Warrior. Evidence of that can be seen in that AU wants 1 more S in this class but has not offered 3* S Daniel Thomas yet. If AU feels it missed on Warrior an offer to Thomas becomes very likely.

If AU does not sign legacy Stephen Davis Jr then it appears AU will look to get a Grad Transfer LB for the 2016 season.

1/30/16

Auburn Safety commit Marlon Character took a surprise visit to AU this weekend. He informed SCe & Va. Tech his recruitment is over & he is All Auburn. He will sign w/ AU @ 9 a.m. on NSD.

David Marshall did visit UGA. Odds seem pretty long he signs w/ AU.

AU had a mini Jr Day Saturday. Here were the notable visitors

4* ATH/RB Alaric Williams, Gadsden (Ala.) Southside (AUBURN COMMIT)

4* OG Netori Jonson, Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove (Bama commit)

4* DT Ryan Johnson, Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul's

4* CB Tre Shaw, Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove

3* DT Tyrone Truesdell, Augusta (Ga.) Laney

3* WR Trey Blount, Atlanta (Ga.) Pace Academy

3* S Carlito Gonzalez, Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson (AUBURN COMMIT)

3* LB Thomas Johnston, Spanish Fort (Ala.)

3* CB AJ Terrell, Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake

3* LB Tadarian "TD" Moultry, Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson-Olin

2017 high 4* Bama OG commit Netori Johnson is very interested in AU.AU appears to be making a real push.

1/29/16

AU appears squarely in the mix for Nigel Warrior. The staff likes where it stands & some think AU leads. Can AU shock the Vols here on NSD? Time will tell.

Hybrid LB/S Stephen Davis Jr may not be a NSD take for AU due to academic concerns.

It's not a given AU would take both EJ Price & Prince Sammons at OT. EJ is higher on the staff's board.

1/28/16

More announcement times

Prince Sammons- Tenitive, Monday February 1st, Time TBD

Ben Davis- 9 a.m. ESPNU

Ahmmon Richards- 11 a.m ESPNU

Both the Myers brothers have announced they will decide between Auburn and UNC on Feb 3. AU looks to be in good shape w/ both.

More public momentum for AU w/ Derrick Brown. AU has gone from 3% to 39% on predictions the past 3 days.

Rhode Island Grad Transfer LT Tyler Catalina will OV AU Feb. 19th-21st. Still no offer yet.

1/27/16

More trending for AU w/ Derrick Brown. AU reporter Keith Niebuhr changed his pick today from UGA to AU.

Texas Tech Grad Transfer QB Davis Webb committed to Colorado & cancelled his AU OV.

NSD announcement times (All times central AU time)

Nigel Warrior- 7 a.m. local TV

Nate Craig-Myers- 10 a.m. on ESPNU

Rashan Gary,- Noon on ESPN

Jayvaughn Myers- Noon on ESPNU

David Marshall- 1 p.m. broadcast unknown

EJ Price- 1:45 p.m. Broadcast unknown

Derrick Brown- 2 p.m. ESPNU

1/26/16

AU has reached out to Grad transfer Tyler Catalina for a potential OV. He played @ Rhode Island. Has 1 to play 1. He is OVing UF this weekend & other major schools are interested. AU has not offered yet.

3* S & PR specialist Daniel Thomas has been added to the AU OV list for the weekend. No offer yet but he grew up a big AU fan.

Public momentum for AU on Derrick Brown is spreading.

1/25/16

Nate Craig-Myers cancelled his OV to the Rebs. AU looks to be in very good shape.

UGA still trending 3rd after Derrick Brown's OV there. Good news for AU & the Vols.

Tre Nixon committed to the Rebs. OLs Lucas Niang & Breontae Matthews committed to TCU & K St respectively. All 3 are off AU's board.

UGA LB commit Jaleel Laguins is now off the board for AU.

UK DB commit Jordan Griffin shut things down & is now firm w/ the cats. This may be good for AU w/ Jayvaughn as Griffin was believed to be a back up if AU were to miss Jayvaughn.

1/24/16

DE/DT David Mashall will visit UGA 2nd straight weekend next week. All signs point to a flip.

Derrick Brown will commit @ 2 CT on NSD.

EJ Price has a final 4 of AU, UGA, Bama, & USC. Not sure yet if he will OV UGA next week.

UK DB commit Jordan Griffin is believed to be a back up to Jayvaughn Myers. Not sure if a potentialn Character flip to SC would affect AU w/ Griffin. Griffin did not interview after his AU OV today.

LB/S target Stephen Davis Jr did not OV South Carolina this weekend as planned. He took the SAT instead.

LBs Elysee Mbem-Bosse & Josh Uche both committed to Michigan today while there on OVs there & are off the AU LB board.

1/23/16

Marlon Character, DB Jordan Griffin, and EJ Price are on an OV to AU.

1/22/16

Ahhmon Richards- Miami vs AU battle. Auburn wants to take one of him, Nate, or Nixon. First come first serve. Miami trending

Elysee Mbem-Bossee- Conflicting info. Some sources feel AU will make a push. Others feel EMB is not a real target anymore.

Erik Swenson- Not much noise w/ AU besides Hand following him on twitter. Not believed to be 1 of the top 3 OT targets

Jayvaughn Myers- Believe he and his brother will be Tigers. Jay isn't taking anymore visits as of now.

Jordan Griffin- UK commit. Says he's solid but is on an OV to AU right now.

Nigel Warrior- Temper expectations for NW, he is a UTk legacy and will be a hard pull.

Prince Sammons- believed to be 1 of the top 3 targets on the AU OT board behind Price & Dickerson. AU thinks thy have a real shot here.

Stephen Davis Jr.- AU may be taking him as an LB which could close out the LB class for AU in 2016.

Note: Some believe AU is looking to take 5 more. Others still think 6-7.

1/21/16

Derrick Brown- Most AU mods think AU is in good shape. (Golf says he's hearing good things.) Most believe it's a AU and UTk and then UGA at #3 but things can change this late in the game.

Elysee Mbem-Bossee- Keith Niebuhr (our most reliable and unbiased recruiting analyst for 247) just recently CB'd him to AU. AU coaches visited him this past week and I personally believe we'll land him.

Erik Swenson- UM was originally thought to have pulled his offer but now it's being reported that he knew in November.

EJ Price- UGA/AU battle with UGA ahead... Maybe? Lol no one knows a dang thing in his recruitment as of late. Got an OV to AU now & UGA on the 29th.

Nate Craig-Meyers- Auburn feels good. The other 3 WR's are recruiting him hard and CDC is doing work. Believe he's AU. Ole Miss has his last OV though.

Jayvaughn Meyers- Crimedog spent the majority of JM's visit to AU with him and I think Jay feels very comfortable with AU and the staff.

Stephen Davis Jr.- AU feels confident after his visit. Most believe he's being recruited as an ATH. Things can change but I believe he becomes apart of the class again.

Nigel Warrior- AU made a huge move recently. On an OV now to AU and his recent leader was UTk, but Mods think Auburn made a move and AU could become a major threat.

Prince Sammons- Coming for an OV this weekend. Auburn recruiting him as an OT though websites are projecting him as a DE.

Tre Nixon- AU gets last OV. Reports he is very impressionable so going last can be good for AU. UGA likely leads ATM.

Landon Dickerson- Hand contacted him recently and it went well. We are 3rd behind FSU and UTk.

Rashan Gary- All UM.

Ben Davis- I'll say that my gut feelings tells me we have a chance. He isn't the type to play our staff like others in the past. We get his last visit and ultimately we have nothing to lose by continuing to recruit the guy. My brain says all Bama but my gut says we have a shot. Tifwiw.

If anyone else has info or contributions feel free to do so. Try to keep random conversations out and only keep real info on targets here. Ask questions as well! Hope you guys like it and I'll try and keep this as updated as possible.

Clayton or E based on the numbers that we have open and given the info that you posted, it looks like 6-7 folks to AU, Is there a backup or two out there?

Breontae Matthews is a backup plan for us if we miss on our top OT.

Maybe 2 or 3 of them at that.

Is there a backup or two out there?

Don't think so at WR.

AU likely takes 1 OT from a group of Price, Niang, Sammons, Breonae

I would think there is @ DT but have not seen names

Same @ DE if we lose Marshall

EMB is the current back up @ LB

Don't think so @ CB or S.

Why aren't we going after Tre Nation?

The staff, like most in recruiting, feel 2016 is a weak RB class so they are not going to stretch on a RB recruit they are not confident in. They feel 2017 is a much better class & plan to take 2. Also they had an idea they would lose a RB & factored that in. The RB being Barber was a surprise but does not change their RB recruiting plans much.

I just asked a similar question in the recruiting board. I don't understand how we aren't going after a true RB in this class. With Barber leaving, we better hope JR makes it through this next season uninjured. But he is gone next season regardless. I don't see how they can feel confident not bringing in a true RB. Miller is projected as a FB, the #1 FB according to 3 out of 4 sites.

There's your key. Sites projecting a player at a spot does not mean that's where the recruit will play. Sure MM could end up @ FB but the staff has not talked to him one time about playing there. We recruited & signed MM solely as a RB. To them, at this point, MM is a true RB.

Thanks for the quick reply, but this has me seriously questioning their decision making if true. A true RB with 4.71 speed? Seems legit. 4.71 speed screams FB.

When was that time taken? I read something or saw a video where he dropped a bunch of weight this year and played leaner than his JR year so that he would be considered a RB vice a FB. I think he said he even gained speed but don't remember him stating his time. Not attacking just asking where you found the time and when it was taken...

I don't know. I'm going off the info provided in the site. If you go to the current commitment page, it gives his height, weight, and 40 speed. If you click on his name, you will see him currently listed as #1 FB on 3 of the 4 services. Now while I understand recruiting the kid as a true RB,but that 4.71 speed (if still correct) is FCS level speed for a RB.

Just a side note, according to NFL Draft scout.com, Barbers high 40 time was 4.74, with his lowest being 4.53. Barber was nothing close to fast for a RB. His lack of runs for more than 20 yards shows just that. And replacing the 4.53/4.74 Barber, with a 4.71 true freshman, doesn't make much sense, to me at least. That's why I am glad I don't get paid to make these decisions, lol
