Judge Anthony Scalia has died. That's bad news since it give Obama at least a slim chance of appointing his replacement. But moreso it means no way in hell do we want a Democrat elected in November.

It does underscore the importance of the presidential election. With 11 months remaining in his term, Obama will nominate someone,. Whether the Senate will confirm or not is anyone's guess. My guess is they would.
