And in that case, it is my understanding that there was not any hard evidence (child porn and such), but again, I could be misremembering or confusing the facts.

His musical talent , while still impressive, would not be anywhere near as popular or admired if fans knew of this while he was alive. I did see that, and I'm confusing the two times he was charged with something. The first trial they only had statements from the boy, which made it hard to convict.

If this info is from any police report while the sick freak was alive, he should have been brought up on child porn charges to go along with the other charges. To my knowledge he never was.
