Thanks @ellitor i think some of us including me that eventhough youve said most were top targets that they all are. Thanks for the clearifications. Idk anything about jabe so I'll not spout off like I do. Just hope we get a SEC caliber signal caller to keep things looking sunny for gatewood to stay committed

Changed my wording in the OP from many top targets to a number of top targets to give a truer perspective.

I hate do to this but it's free & relevent info. Notable targets on Bama's cookout list https://alabama.rivals.com/news/the-stars-align-for-champions-cook-out

Jarez Parks: Top AU Buck target

JaCoby Stevens: Keith did say earlier this week he felt Bama had taken the lead

Ryan Johnson: both teamsrecruiting him hard.

Monty Rice: Believed to be a top AU LB target.

Keith has a running BBQ thread that will be mostly free. I will paste any note worthy posts. http://auburn.247sports.com/Bolt/In-Real-Time-War-Damn-BBQ-blog-46373891

Unless noted all future quotes in this thread will originate from this link.

Kenney Britt still expected ... but won't come today I don't believe. Likely coming Saturday.

Was in a car accident this week. Hit by drunk driver. Kenney is okay, but his little brother -- Keenan -- who is the coolest little kid you ever will meet, was banged up some and is in the hospital.

So everyone at AUC sends out our thoughts to the Britt family.

This is a family I've gotten to know extremely well the past year. So this is news that shook me.

Keenan is okay, and I'm told is disappointed he probably won't be able to make it to Auburn this weekend.

So, this is significant ...

Am told 4-star QB/ATH target Tray Bishop of Georgia will be joined by about 10 family and friends Saturday in Auburn.

Auburn would love to knock that out of the park and lock up his commitment.

Sounds like given all that has happened, Britt might not be able to make it.

Auburn-Georgia battle, we believe.

Tigers would love to add him to the class.

Wouldn't be a shock if 3-star safety Jordyn Peters of Muscle Shoals, Ala., joined the class this weekend.

File that one away.

So they spurned our cookout for Bama's. Alright then...

Could Jordyn Peters be a guy who gets a ratings bump?

Yes.

When he camped at Auburn last week, this is what he posted:

-4.5 in the 40
-40-inch vertical
-10-2 broad jump

Very athletic kid.

Only 2 of them where expected at ours. Still don't know which one Ryan Johnson is going to yet.

Ours is tomorrow.  bama's is today.  Stevens already said he was backing out because of a 7-on-7.  Maybe having it on Friday gave bama a better shot at some of these guys who have their Saturdays booked.  Could be another lesson learned for Gus.

Is  JaCoby Stevens' 7 on 7 tournament (that he can't miss) in Tuscaloosa?

Looks like his team is hosting the Powerade 7-on-7 at his school in Tennessee.

Sounds like Xavier McKinney, the former Alabama commit, will stay the night and attend the BBQ on Saturday.

Quote

Former Tulsa QB Jabe Burgess, now at Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C., will visit Auburn this weekend. Probably not someone to track just yet, however.

No Will Ignont this weekend, you may have noticed. Think he'll be at LSU.

Brandon Martin, the 4-star WR, coming with teammates not family .... but we're told his family really likes Auburn.

Tigers still feel really good about that one.

Probably no commitment this weekend, however.

VERY good news in general -- and for Auburn.

Kenney Britt's little brother is out of the hospital --- and the whole family is headed to Auburn as we speak.

First surprise visitor of the day: 4-star OT Adrian Ealy. ...

Was not expecting this one. This kid is really tall. Looks like an OT for sure.

Getting a lot of attention from Herb Hand upon his arrival.

4-star WR Henry Ruggs has arrived. Tide lean? Maybe ... but Auburn is battling.

For Auburn this is huge ... Nice surprise for the Tigers.
