“We appreciate Coach Lolley and the contributions he has made to the Auburn football program in his various roles over the years,” Chizik said. “We look forward to him continuing to help with the program’s success in his new capacity.”
Lolley has coached at Auburn since 1999. He was hired by Tommy Tuberville as a conditioning coach in 1999 before being promoted to secondary coach from 2000-03, Lolley served in an administrative position from 2004-08 before Chizik named him cornerbacks coach in 2009.
Lolley, 57, received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Livingston in 1977 and 1981, respectively. He was a high school coach in the state of Alabama from 1977-98.
A search for his replacement will begin immediately.
2010 BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

"We are Auburn. That’s all that matters, not what somebody on the outside thinks or doesn’t think. We are not defined or limited by the perceptions of others. We don’t need a T-shirt from Wal Mart boasting about things that never were to boost our ego. We don’t use our battle cry as a taunt to prop up our self-esteem. Our sense of worth isn’t determined by the number of stickers and flags we can put on our car." - Never To Yield Foundation

Willie Martinez?? The defensive backs coach for the Oklahoma Sooners football team, before resigning in early January 2012. He is the former defensive coordinator and secondary coach of the Georgia Bulldogs football team. Martinez was the defensive secondary coach at Georgia from 2001 to 2005. Martinez was promoted to defensive coordinator before the 2005 season. Worked with VanGorder there.

Seriously, Coach Lolley is a good man. I've known him for a long time, and I'm glad he's staying on at Auburn in some capacity. I'm also glad we're bringing in a replacement CB and Secondary coach. It's not just on him, but this was a necessary change for our defense to make a major step forward in 2012.

I believe he also coached the secondary under BVG at Georgia when they were fielding all those top 10 defenses.

Also I've had Uga fans tell me that BVG wanted Martinez fired and when richt said no that led to BVG wanting to look for a new job. TIFWIW.
