The UGA game as a Student was one of my favorites. I had a Fraternity Brother from Athens and we always had a party filled weekend with the game slammed right in the middle. Met lots of good people from UGA that repayed the kindness on the return visit. Also this game is the last home game when Bama is away. I would really hate to sacrafice this game with the new scheduling.

It would be a travesty if this game did not happen every year. This was my favorite game as a student also and the atmosphere that weekend was amazing.

If Jacobs let's this happen he should be fired. It's time for Auburn to put some feet down and quit getting kicked around.

When the SEC expands to 16 teams, and Auburn moves to the east, problem solved..... This 14 team conference is an unnatural balance. 16 teams works better.

I used to be concerned about some if these rivalries but I don't care who play on an annual basis anymore. If we play them fine if not that is ok also. Whoever we play will be great games.

There is no way in hell that AU/UGA and UAT/Tenn aren't played annually. Rest easy on that one. That's four charter members of the SEC there that would not allow such a thing to happen.

To tell you the truth, if Auburn and Alabama game is cancelled my heart will not be broken. It has gotten out of control.

Honestly, Mine would not be either but the AU/UGA game is a different story.

I would rather keep LSU & UGA over UA.

That talk has all died down now, it's only heard after an Auburn win.

When I was @ AU in the early '80s, one of the most sacred Auburn rivalries was Georgia Tech. We had a hundred favorite stories about this rivalry passed down between generations, we had a parade before just that game, etc etc. They were frequently in the top 25 but we rarely lost to them too. So when that annual game went bye bye everybody went nuts, esp the alumni from the 1950s. But guess what, nobody talks about that rivalry any more. Very sad and losing UGA would be worse IMO.

Lame that this has become the trend in college football. Money is destroying rivalries across the nation and not just ours.

I'm with most, would rather keep UGA than UA and hope the move to the east eventually comes.
