  1. Honestly does anyone really think he should pass up a deal like this? It would be great to have him at Auburn for a year but honestly he should take that money and go sharpen his skills for a year before heading to the NBA. He has to do what is best for him and his family.. that would be almost an impossible offer to turn down.

  4. Germany and South Korea did a great job of containing this virus, but this is not an apples to apples comparison. South Korea has the population of California and Florida combined and is basically an island. Nobody comes in from North Korea and they shut down sea ports early. They had a reliable Coronavirus test and took measures to stop the virus. The envy of the world dealing with this thing. Germany has a culture that follow the rules. I used to travel there for years and if you try to walk across the street when the *red man* is showing and there is any German standing there, you

  5. Grumps, Just to let you know, I have seven former students who are now living and working in Germany. A month ago, my young tenor, Mark Williams, was returning from Boston to Passau, a smaller town in Bavaria just inside the border from Austria. Mark had to go thru customs in Lisbon. He told me that the lines for customs were criminally long and pressed together. Mark returned to Passau, then started to run a fever, for him. He has notoriously grades lower on his body temperature that most people's 98.6 F. He also started having a feeling of a huge weight pressing down on his s

  17. I'm starting to question how much time and effort we should be spending on these top-10 type prospects. With the going rate seemingly a minimum of around $400,000 for G-league and the NBA proper probably going back to taking kids straight out of high school, maybe top-50 four* guys will become the way to go?

  21. I don't know that anyone is lying. I do think that our government and many organizations are motivated by power and want to use this and any crisis possible to increase their sphere of influence. Because this is a health issue and people are dying, everyone is more likely to overreact. In general, the way to a population to minimize the effect of a virus is for a lot of the population to become immune. This can only be done by exposure or by vaccine. What if a large percentage of young and healthy people were exposed and get over the virus and have immunity. Then there is no one left to transm

  22. It's amazing how the supporters of the R and D establishment will contort themselves to support the globalist policies that have done so much damage to America. Even in the face of a pandemic, when the globalists have eagerly allowed the manufacture of key pharmaceuticals to go to Communist China leaving us dangerously exposed, they will still rationalize it. I agree, on this and many other critical issues, America First.

  26. Most people, including this ditzy woman, doesn’t know that. I didn’t. When you go on national news and use it to make a point..... You make a complete ass of yourself and whoever you represent. That’s borderline insanity. It’s just as bad if you are excusing it based on it not being in her realm of expertise. She should know her limitations and when to shut it down.

  27. So many bad losses to Uga too. Bad losses being winnable games where we were really as talented and just choked. 2009, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2019 imo. The #1 thing I want from Au football in the near future is going back to consistently beating those clowns. I dont care if we run spread or the gd I formation. Recruit 5 stars or 3 stars. Have a booger picker like Gus as coach or a hard core ahole controlling midget like Saban. I just want to beat Bowlcut and his dopey haircuts ass.

  30. Biden was simply pumping up the United States as a superior system, as in rah rah! He certainly knows that China represents a competitive threat in all respects. And thankfully, he certainly doesn't think that he knows more than the generals and economists who will be advising him, like the current narcissist in chief. This whole argument that Biden is oblivious to the competitive threat the Chinese represent is absurd on it's face, particularly with the "evidence" you are presenting. And I don't think Biden has ever advocated illegal immigration or "open borders". That's just

  34. What a classic mis-read (leap of logic) by you. What I am saying is that Sleepy Joe wouldn’t know if China is a threat to the U.S. until is was too late. I disagree with your assumptions on the “America First” policy. We need to take over some of the manufacturing of critical medical supplies from China. Since when does giving up on the rule of law correct about immigration? We have boarders for a reason and immigration laws that help protect the boarders. We have legal immigration that we monitor, illegal immigration is, well, illegal.

  35. So are you saying that China - with their communist system - is going to out-compete the United States for global leadership? You are betting on China? Really? Biden is simply saying that our democracy had inherent advantages over such an authoritarian system. At least it would if we had a rational POTUS instead of the idiot we have. China will assume our role of global leader only if we abdicate it in favor of a parochial "America First" policy. And he is basically correct about immigration. It has been the foundational strength of our country from the beginning. That is no

The Newton boys were great kids back at AU....Bill was a walk-on, following his brother...would also like to add Mike Neel to the defensive list...as I remember, Mike had a fumble recovery or interception in the game that gave us the ball back....also, I think David Langner, ended the game with an interception...

  39. Same here. Mafia movies, Westerns, war movies... I'm a sucker for any of them. Speaking of mafia movies, have you seen Millers Crossing? It's a Coen Bros movie so it's a little unconventional, but still very much a mob/noir masterpiece IMO. Available to rent on Amazon. Goodfellas is my favorite movie.

It doesn't matter if the virus shuts us down all year and he goes pro without ever playing for Auburn, he's already an Auburn man.

My mom got so overwhelmed we had to pull off the road to the shoulder and we listened to the second block to the end of the game. What a day that will forever be burned into my memory!
