  3. Auburn’s quartet at wide receiver from 2003-2005 might be the best in school history. The Tigers 2002 recruiting class included Devin Aromashodu, Ben Obomanu, Courtney Taylor, and Anthony Mix. Many thought Tuberville’s staff had brought aboard a solid group of receivers at the time of their signings. Three out of the four would play as true freshman during 2002 as Courtney Taylor redshirted. From 2003-2005, this quartet at wide receiver was one of the best in the conference and was crucial in Tuberville’s best years at Auburn. When it was all said and done, the four receivers combined for

  4. I am a pragmatist for the most part and live in the land of "what is" vs. "what should be", but something that has always annoyed me is the notion of a vote for anything other than one of the two major party candidates is a wasted vote, or that "A vote for the Green/Libertarian/Whatever Party is really a vote for (pick a Dem or Rep)." Nope. A vote for the Libertarian candidate is a vote for the Libertarian candidate. If people want to apply whatever sort of pretzel logic to try to figure out which major party candidate that vote is supposedly for, then have at it. That effort and $3

  5. Damn. Didn’t watch it all but first 2.5 minutes every block ended up with his guy on his back. After the past 2-3 seasons, watching our center going in reverse half of the plays, I would love to see that kind of play

  8. I'll add this: (A) home schooling by parents who consciously made that choice and put in the time, energy and resources into doing it well (B) what we had in the spring (rushed online school by teachers who were by and large not trained to deliver online curriculum...we were "teachers trying to do distance learning on the fly, and parents were thrust into trying to help their kids learn online when they themselves likely had no experience with it, either") Comparing these two things would be a fool's errand...apples to bowling balls.

  9. Oh I agree. I want all the liars gone. I want term limits and the end of Citizens United. I dont just want one side punished. I want DC Cleaned up. If my favorite person in DC is a liar, let him go. If my favorite person is corrupt, they must go.

  13. when it comes to trump there is no honor among thieves. those same people being quiet in this thread will claim to be patriots where you by gawd best not kneel for the flag, etc, but it is perfectly ok to slam those who stood up and served their country. especially when the person doing most of the mouthing off chickened out four times. just like smearing a muslim that had shown great valor who died saving his troops or POW's being tortured for years. now we have a class lady who is a double amputee getting it. trump might as well be spitting in the face of these people. come on nov 3rd. and ye

  14. I get those that favor the EC. I mean I understand that without the EC they have been told that California, maybe even Los Angeles alone would overrule 25 states or more. That is just not so. Time for cold hard facts my friends. Market Watch gets it right IMHO: https://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-biggest-argument-for-keeping-the-electoral-college-relies-on-a-myth-2019-09-10 Please note the DATE OF THIS ARTICLE: 9-10-2019 written and published when we were not in the throes of an election. 16. From what I could tell, no one was on their property. They were on the sidewalk and in the street. Walking on the sidewalk and in the street does not give you a free pass to point a loaded gun at someone with your finger on the trigger. They should have stayed inside. Have the weapon ready if anyone comes up to the house and attempts to break in or anything. And I agree with Dub. One of those dipshits is going to end up shooting the other before any BLM protester does.

  17. Exactly. And with potential complications of Covid being unknown and so widely variable, unless there’s a blanket law that absolves the responsibilities of a University if a fan/player/student/band member/coach gets the disease and in any capacity is hurt by his or her inability to opt out of playing, then I just don’t see it.

  21. You have to require masks. You have to test players and staff almost daily. You have to give players choice of opting out for additional redshirt. Coaches, head coaches should accept a pay reduction to help offset lost commerce. Or just pay them a minimum amount and extend their contracts a year. Is canceled season better? Maybe..

  22. You mean the two states that produce a large chunk of our wealth as a country? Yeah, I'm OK with that. California, if it were a country, would be the 5th largest GDP in the world. New York would be 11th if it were its own country.

As Politifact states, only the then Congressmen gained access. 2) Her vision was...a driveway & parking lot for the vehicles at the Checkpoint. She never got closer than several hundred yards (several football fields away) from the then TENT CITY. 3) Who did she see? The guards and workers going in

  26. But we did use metric for that. They simply converted units for display. Metric is very good for not screwing it up on very precise stuff, and easier to learn initially, to boot, since everything is derived from 10. Unit conversions are also a breeze since everything is universally ties together. In my field, medical, nearly everything is metric now when extreme precision is a must. On some of the stuff where less precision is needed, I still use imperial though. (I need to torque this bolt to X lb/ft rather than Newton/Meters, this flow here is in X GPM rather than LPM).

  27. AOC is raw but getting better. Her committee stuff is by and large very good. She does put her foot in her mouth on occasion, but I can see that getting rarer with more seasoning. She could be a great standard bearer for the progressive movement going forward. The meme David posted is bull****, by the way. https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2019/jul/22/viral-image/no-isnt-photo-aoc-crying-over-parking-lot/

  30. You are missing out. New York has just cut the police force, handcuffed those who are left and shootings are already up 200%. Chicago would be a good, solid Democrat stronghold for you. Go for a Sunday walk and dodge some bullets in Obama's old neighborhood. Seattle has a mayor who shares your political views and they tell me Minneapolis is lovely through both weeks of summer there. Go in haste, join your fellow Dems in the model cities they have created.

  38. This could be the end of a lot of football for a lot of smaller programs. They rely heavily on that influx of cash from us playing these non-conference games. I have posted this before but UMass has an athletic budget for $10m and they make just over $1m from this game alone. Without this money, they would not be able to make their budget and will have to find ways to make up for it.

  39. I guess we’ll see about the season. Two of my daughters are at schools with a big football presence. Both have gone to totally on-line classes (for the start of the academic year at least). I love football as much as anyone and understand the financial impact if there is no season. I have no idea how you can rationalize any kind of sports with athletes in close proximity, even with limited or no crowds, if we are saying the environment is so unsafe that classes can’t meet in person. Not arguing for or against (although I do have my personal bias) but not sure how you can have one but not the o

  41. I don't get the advantage of Conference Games Only. Yes, you reduce the number of games played by four. So what? If you're going to play eight might as well play twelve. If eight is manageable 12 will also be manageable. If eight isn't manageable, why try to play eight?

  47. Candidates would change how they campaigned if the presidency were decided by a straight popular vote, so trying to compare what would have happened in previous elections is pretty futile. It could drive up participation in states that, electorally, are pretty much in the bag for one party or the other at this point. I imagine Democrats in Idaho and Republicans in California pretty much feel like their presidential vote is wasted right now, but if their vote was part of a nationwide tally, more of those voters would vote. The other side of that is that the very large cities would hol
