  1. I'm pretty sure I died back in 2015 and this is an Auburn fan's purgatory.

  2. This game was totally opposite of last week. Lots of encouragement, support, team chemistry. Obviously a big change. Coaches and players get credit for getting on the same page. Could have easily turned into every man for himself but instead showed Auburn family support and sticks together. Issues, still, yes but today turned in the right direction.

  3. We ARE a bad team. We haven't been able to stop anyone on 3rd down. Our play in the trenches on both sides of the ball is below average. We aren't particularly sound fundamentally in any aspect of the game (pursuit, angles, tackling, etc). There is no aspect of this team that resembles the characteristics of a "good team". If you actually believe otherwise, then you don't even understand what makes a good team in the first place.

  5. Not a lot to look forward to this season and future seasons to come in this football purgatory we find ourselves in because of this buy-out hell BUT MAN OH MAN!!!!!!!!! TANK FREAKING BIGSBY IS A GOT DANG STUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD PONNNNNNNNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mercy I ABSOLUTELY LOOOOOOOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE watching this kid play. DUDE IS SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!!! Dude is the first or second best (Caddy would be the other) true freshmen RB I have ever seen in my 31 years of Auburn football history. If he stays healthy *KNOCK ON WOOD* He is absolutely going to go down as not only one of the greatest RB

  7. We aren’t a bad team. Right now we are a slightly above average team. It seems there needs to be balance. We have also had 2 TDs called back on questionable calls: interception return vs KY and kickoff return vs Ole Miss.

  8. In three of our games this year, we've benefitted from arguable calls. Other threads have covered all the bases on the arguments for all three, so let's not rehash this here. All three IMO were officiating mistakes in bang-bang situations, rather than anything truly intentional. Having said that, we're finally getting the same "benefit of the doubt" that spuat has gotten since Tennessee's Johnny Majors said "If you've got 3rd and 2 in Legion Field, you'd better get 3!". Not once have I ever heard of a bammer complaining about any of the uncounted judgement calls at pivotal moments that went th

  9. Can all these pansy asses shut up about the damn fumble? Ole Miss is gonna cry about this for the rest of the year. Just like Arkansas. In both instances, their teams didn't deserve to win the games...not saying we did, but they sure as hell didn't. Both teams would have won on lucky ass freak plays. Also, the holding call on the Tank kickoff touchdown was also questionable. If Ole Miss wanted to win, they should've stopped us that last drive and then scored. But they didn't...because they are Ole Miss. We suck, but they suck worse. So STFU Ole and Arkansas. Quit crying.

  10. I don't know if God cares about the outcome of the game or not but just remember that he cared about the Israelites and they wandered around lost in the desert for 40 years. We're only in year 8. 😬

  11. Big picture here is more than just this season's wins and losses. Understand that there is unprecedented parity within the conference right now. We are also in a state where Auburn is quickly losing conference influence and appeal to out of state recruits. That leaves us with only in state talent to recruit from to have much of a chance and sadly Alabama has a monopoly on that talent. Auburn will be out-recruited in FL by Florida and Miami, out-leveraged in Mississippi by Ole miss. (Miss State really isn't that good since Leach is burning out good will.) An

  12. He made some big plays when he had to, he still had a few plays that weren't the best but this was a big step forward. I know it's just ole miss but I'd rather him make plays than not

  13. I guess with all of the bogus calls and non calls that LSU has received in the last several games against us, they should forfeit those games. They were literally tackling our DL last year and our receivers the year before. How did Ole Miss have 1 penalty for 5 yards yesterday and numerous holds on Christian Tutt....in front of the official on the Ole Miss sideline that also gave them numerous excessive spots? This doesn't take into account all of the other holds, etc. If they don't call back the kickoff, maybe that gave us momentum and we blow them out. The officials weren't trying to help us

  14. The easy answer is that Alabama is a good team and thus it is expected that "the ball bouncing their way" is a deserved outcome. When you are a bad team like we are; having blatant missed calls go your way just feels cheap and undeserved. Do these wins feel like good wins to you? Having to rely on freak plays to barely squeak past other bad teams? It seems more so that we are being rewarded by "luck" for absolutely nothing that is deserved. That is the difference.

  15. Yup. Seems as if some here would be happier if our Tigers had lost. I got some flack for saying that a few weeks ago, but that's what I see.

  18. Almost every other modern, industrialized nation finds a way to do this and they pay less per person on health care than we do, not more. Nations that have managed this include Germany, France, Japan, Australia, Great Britain, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Canada, and many more. Some have more of a total single-payer approach and others have a public/private hybrid of sorts, but they get everyone covered and most have managed to do so for 50 years or more. The idea that there's no way the US can figure out how to do it as well isn't based in reality.

  19. Your first premise is just plain wrong and one of the things that people who defend Gus use a lot and its a complete non-starter. Myself, a lot of folks on this board and 99.9% of the Auburn fans I talk to and interact with on a daily/weekly basis(and its a lot) have no expectations of winning like bama is. Auburn has really never won that way and no one except the most un-initiated AU fan would expect that. We do expect better than averaging 4-5 losses per year over a 6 year period, being 7-16 against our 3 biggest rivals and 0-11 on the road against said rivals. For some the 2

  20. My take: This was the worst defense that Auburn will face all year, and Auburn still had its problems scoring. That should raise plenty of flags to everyone. The defense was lost. I saw more arm grabbing than I’ve seen in a long time. The linebacker play has taken three steps back this season. The defensive tackles and ends can not get off blocks. When they do, they can’t make a tackle for a loss. Big Kat looks like he has never played. bright spots: tank and Seth looked like they were ready to play and played with passion.

  24. This all day. There was a time when if Auburn struggled with one of these "lower tier" SEC teams we would be disappointed despite winning. Now some of our fanbase is happy with a slip-by win against a 1-4 ole miss team that can't stop a pee wee football team on defense. Gus has greatly lowered expectations.

  25. Haha he lost a lot of talent from the previous year. Michigan played well for the first time in like a decade. It's all good.

  26. What is your "ranking" based off of? If you want to use loose logic and semantics to convince yourself that things are in fact peachy, go ahead lol. The rest of the SEC past those four teams you named has collectively looked completely pedestrian; if you wanna get happy about MAYBE being the "best" of that bunch then you're in for an enjoyable season. I watch the games on the field and make my conclusions based off of that. We are not a good football team. Just wondering, what happens if LSU cleans our clock next week?

  27. This is the part that matters. When human error works in your favor you take it, because there will be a time when it works against you. Complain when it works against you, but enjoy it when it works for you.

  29. Lol. Folks don't want the government involved in healthcare or anything else that might benefit their fellow man because they don't think government can accomplish anything, but they think a single president- in office for a maximum of eight years- is going to shut down the oil industry. You badly embarrass yourselves.

  30. Just food for thought, if Gus said Willis wasn’t good enough to play at Auburn and he is the one making the decisions??? It should tell you everything about Gus. He doesn’t recognize talent. And worse, he can’t coach it!!!

  31. I think you underestimate the evil we are up against... LSU is going to look great today just to fall apart next week so Gus gets his “big victory” and secures another year.

  33. I was only able to listen in on the game since I was at work but I was hoping someone would address how the team looked. In COVID-year football where we have no Spring ball, no summer workouts, contactless coaching, social distancing, protesting, opt-outs, distractions galore... It's no surprise that we would be behind the 8-ball when it comes to conditioning and development. But team cohesion, unity, and game planning are factors that COVID can't touch and fall squarely on the shoulders of the head coach. Wins and Losses this year will all have asterisks by them because of how disjo

  34. SHOUT OUT to Shivers for having the awareness to jerk his Pinky back in the nick of time to avoid touching that ball!!!! I wonder if that was natural or if he was coached to do that?

  35. The only player I saw constantly going around to everybody talking to them and patting them on the back was Seth. He clearly was making sure to keep going and check on bo. Probably make people upset but he's probably the leader of the team

  36. It’s one game. I am a firm believer that nobody is ever as good or bad as one game. I think ultimately he will be judged on how he does this whole season as he should be. To me, this ole miss victory does nothing for me because I expect us to beat them. My judgement will come from LSU, the aggies , Vols and Bama

  37. We talk a lot about how bad the offense has been but the defense has been just as bad or worse at times.

  38. I looked this up in the official NCAA rulebook on their site. Ball Dead in End Zone ARTICLE 7. a. When a free kick untouched by Team B touches the ground on or behind Team B’s goal line, the ball becomes dead and belongs to Team B. b. If the result of the free kick is a touchback (Rule 8-6) for Team B, they will put the ball in play at their 25-yard line. Emphasis mine, if the ball is touched by the receiving team it is a live ball regardless where it comes to rest.

  39. I don’t feel like the refs “bailed us out”. They missed that call, which benefited us; they missed the call on Tank’s return, which hurt us. That is a net null, no impact on the game’s outcome.

  43. Here's the thing: whether we believe in global warming or not, pushing for clean energy makes sense, because it protects us from future dependence on oil-producing countries. Even if we continue to produce the amounts we are, we still depend on the world market to keep prices low. The transition is already underway, and energy-producing companies will have to invest in research and development in clean energy to protect their own existences. There are plenty of fossil fuels to last quite a number of years, but the change is going to have to happen at some point. It only makes sense to start so
