  1. Boy, it really stings to be at the wrong end of such razor sharp wit. I guess simple logic and reason isn't worth the hassle if the genius across the table has his next coach already picked out. I don't recall picking anyone as the next head coach at AU. Simple logic and reason? Laughable, I suppose. Pounding of ones chest over moral superiority and winning arguments that hold no water? Go for it. Awesome. Even some of the moderators on this site have become ignore-worthy. Nice knowin' ya, Chief. EDIT: Huh. Turns out I'm not allowed to ignore this prick? Nice knowin' ya, AUFAMILY.
  2. Very revealing stat there ST...points to this lack of discipline we have been talking about for the last 4 seasons. Auburn has probably used more formations in the past 4 years than the 19 prior seasons as well. It's easy to get 10 year olds lined up correctly when you don't do anything special. That doesn't explain going from being more penalized than your opponents once every four years to being more penalized than your opponents every single year, four years in a row. Come on. Penalties do not reflect much at all. Look at the stats and facts!!! The 6 least penalized teams in t
  3. He's a football coach. It doesn't matter what he does in his personal life as long as it is not illegal. A stranger's personal life is none of your business, nor anybody else's. I swear, y'all are like a bunch of women gossiping about tabloid mags. Man. Never once used the ignore function before the merger. Suddenly, I've got about 30 31 names on there. I've heard multiple mentions now that this Russ Campbell guy is legit. I'll believe you guys, despite the fact that he's in a notoriously shady business representing a notoriously shady coach. However, Arthur Blank's integrity is pretty

  6. He would come back as, at best, the 3rd best coach in our division. And it looks like he might be taking a back seat to Sumlin, as well. If winning's all that matters, then I really don't understand why so many of you want to hitch your horse to the Petrino wagon.
  7. Hardly worth a new thread. That said, I'm sure that the same guy who cheated on his wife and unethically hired his mistress- who was engaged to his coworker- was totally on the up and up when he allowed his agent to tell this story on his behalf.

  9. Nor any done. Folks are just a little oversensitive these days, what with the worst season ever and all.
  10. That is one of the most jaw-dropping indictments of his coaching acumen I've seen yet. Astonishing.
  11. That's a completely bunk analogy. Dubose won an SEC championship in his 3rd year. The next year, he went 3-8 with some bad losses, but still managed to win some SEC games and stay close in almost all of them. If his firing seems harsh, consider that he actually had a resignation letter refused by Mal Moore midseason. Enter Franchione, who went 17-8 over 2 seasons and then left on his own terms, presumably because he knew the hammer was about to be dropped on the program due to recruiting violations committed by a booster (not a coach- important distinction). Then Mike Price rolled the tide wit
  12. If Grandma had balls, we'd call her Grandpa. I'm gonna need keyboard cleanup on aisle 9.
  13. Good God. He debunks that entire premise in the article you linked to. With fans like ours, who needs rivals.
