  1. Best (and worst) beers you've ever had

I hope you guys enjoyed your game day drinks as much as I did. I had two "worth mentioning" beers last night. Delirium Tremens, might be the best beer I've ever had. I'll have to try a few more just to be sure. Dragon's Milk Stout by New Holland Brewing was also fantastic. It was probably better than this year's KBS. Disclaimer: the double old fashioned I mixed prior to kickoff could've made everything taste better than it really was.
  2. Best (and worst) beers you've ever had

I haven't puked since the night of the Iron Bowl in '06. We ran out of beer and raided my buddy's liquor cabinet. My wife didn't like me drinking liquor, so we were putting rum and whiskey in beer bottles. She was none-the-wiser until I started to stagger and slur. After about 36 ounces of liquor, she took me home and made me sleep on the porch. I remember waking up and seeing a semi-frozen pool of vomit in the flower bed. On another note, Sierra Nevada's 2017 Oktoberfest is phenomenal. I grabbed a sixer this afternoon and it's gone. I hope I don't hurl.
  3. Teams AU has never played

Played them in 96. I'm not a knowitall. I just remember because I was there.
  4. Best (and worst) beers you've ever had

I found some Odell singles at the H-E-B today. Since I'd seen this post I figured I should try it. The IPA is surprisingly drinkable. I think I could easily put down a whole sixer. I'll try the 90 Shilling Ale tomorrow. I like your glassware BTW. I'm currently using the Chinet Cut Crystal selection.
  5. I cut meat at a couple of grocery stores in high school and college. I'd certainly have fewer scars if that technology was available back then. I'm sure it's very expensive initially, but in a big operation it saves money in the long run.
  6. Best (and worst) beers you've ever had

Even though I'm almost at IPA burnout, I picked up a sixer of Lagunitas Waldo's Special Ale. At $11 bucks and over 11% ABV, I figured I couldn't afford to not buy it. Lagunitas does IPA very well (I'm not crazy about their over-hopped other-than IPAs: Stoopid Wit, Pils, Cappuccino Stout...), but they exceeded my expectations with this one.
  7. Best (and worst) beers you've ever had

I've still never seen it. It's still on my beer bucket list. Have you tried it yet? What do you think?
  8. Best (and worst) beers you've ever had

I've seen similar stuff in the "bargain bin" before. Looks like blue cheese vinaigrette.
  9. Best (and worst) beers you've ever had

I can't believe you got it at a Pig. I got it at a very big liquor store, and they only had one case.
  10. Best (and worst) beers you've ever had

Dang. Mine was $22, but I wasn't about to pass it up.
  11. Best (and worst) beers you've ever had

Happy "National Beer Day!" I got my KBS and Death by Coconut today. Just waiting for it to get cold.
  12. Harry's razors

My wife got me a Tough Blade pack for Christmas (the ones endorsed by Brett Favre). $20 for a razor and 12 cartridges. The package says "one year of shaving", and so far so good. I shave 6 days a week, and I used one blade for the entire month of January. It felt a little dull for the past three days, but not at all unbearable. I normally use 3-blade bic disposables for about one week each. I'd recommend them if you're looking for a little extra bang for your buck.
  13. AUF Anglers

Minnows, salmon eggs, meal worms, and various Berkeley and Gulp products replicating them. Our trout are stocked by the state as well. I fish for them in a creek, but I'm sure they bite the same stuff in a pond. I've had the best luck with a floating powerbait about 18inches off the bottom. Use small hooks and light line (or snell). No need to set the hook. When they grab it, start reeling.
  14. AUF Anglers

I spent a week in Indian Pass this Summer (right down the beach from Salty). The kids and I had a blast catching whiting when the catfish didn't get the bait first. It's trout season in Oklahoma, so they are my main target right now. Trout never crossed my mind when I lived in the south, but they have become one of my favorite fish. You can't beat a tasty fish that literally takes seconds to clean.
