  1. Played them in 96. I'm not a knowitall. I just remember because I was there.
  2. I found some Odell singles at the H-E-B today. Since I'd seen this post I figured I should try it. The IPA is surprisingly drinkable. I think I could easily put down a whole sixer. I'll try the 90 Shilling Ale tomorrow. I like your glassware BTW. I'm currently using the Chinet Cut Crystal selection.
  3. I cut meat at a couple of grocery stores in high school and college. I'd certainly have fewer scars if that technology was available back then. I'm sure it's very expensive initially, but in a big operation it saves money in the long run.
  4. Even though I'm almost at IPA burnout, I picked up a sixer of Lagunitas Waldo's Special Ale. At $11 bucks and over 11% ABV, I figured I couldn't afford to not buy it. Lagunitas does IPA very well (I'm not crazy about their over-hopped other-than IPAs: Stoopid Wit, Pils, Cappuccino Stout...), but they exceeded my expectations with this one.
  5. I've still never seen it. It's still on my beer bucket list. Have you tried it yet? What do you think?
  6. I've seen similar stuff in the "bargain bin" before. Looks like blue cheese vinaigrette.
  7. I can't believe you got it at a Pig. I got it at a very big liquor store, and they only had one case.
  8. Dang. Mine was $22, but I wasn't about to pass it up.
  9. Happy "National Beer Day!" I got my KBS and Death by Coconut today. Just waiting for it to get cold.
  10. My wife got me a Tough Blade pack for Christmas (the ones endorsed by Brett Favre). $20 for a razor and 12 cartridges. The package says "one year of shaving", and so far so good. I shave 6 days a week, and I used one blade for the entire month of January. It felt a little dull for the past three days, but not at all unbearable. I normally use 3-blade bic disposables for about one week each. I'd recommend them if you're looking for a little extra bang for your buck.
  11. Minnows, salmon eggs, meal worms, and various Berkeley and Gulp products replicating them. Our trout are stocked by the state as well. I fish for them in a creek, but I'm sure they bite the same stuff in a pond. I've had the best luck with a floating powerbait about 18inches off the bottom. Use small hooks and light line (or snell). No need to set the hook. When they grab it, start reeling.
  12. I spent a week in Indian Pass this Summer (right down the beach from Salty). The kids and I had a blast catching whiting when the catfish didn't get the bait first. It's trout season in Oklahoma, so they are my main target right now. Trout never crossed my mind when I lived in the south, but they have become one of my favorite fish. You can't beat a tasty fish that literally takes seconds to clean.

  14. As a current OK resident, this game is huge for me. I need this one to go our way, or I'll be hearing about it up until the day I move. Okies aren't as bad as bammers, but I don't want to give them any ammunition.
  15. Yep, we're 1-1 this week. Take it to the politics forum.
