  1. My wife got me a Tough Blade pack for Christmas (the ones endorsed by Brett Favre). $20 for a razor and 12 cartridges. The package says "one year of shaving", and so far so good. I shave 6 days a week, and I used one blade for the entire month of January. It felt a little dull for the past three days, but not at all unbearable. I normally use 3-blade bic disposables for about one week each. I'd recommend them if you're looking for a little extra bang for your buck.
  2. Minnows, salmon eggs, meal worms, and various Berkeley and Gulp products replicating them. Our trout are stocked by the state as well. I fish for them in a creek, but I'm sure they bite the same stuff in a pond. I've had the best luck with a floating powerbait about 18inches off the bottom. Use small hooks and light line (or snell). No need to set the hook. When they grab it, start reeling.
  3. I spent a week in Indian Pass this Summer (right down the beach from Salty). The kids and I had a blast catching whiting when the catfish didn't get the bait first. It's trout season in Oklahoma, so they are my main target right now. Trout never crossed my mind when I lived in the south, but they have become one of my favorite fish. You can't beat a tasty fish that literally takes seconds to clean.
  4. 8 straight under Tuberville.
  5. As a current OK resident, this game is huge for me. I need this one to go our way, or I'll be hearing about it up until the day I move. Okies aren't as bad as bammers, but I don't want to give them any ammunition.
  6. Yep, we're 1-1 this week. Take it to the politics forum.
  7. Slightly off topic, but I just heard Rod and Stan cite @StatTiger on the Tailgate Show. That's big time Stat. Congratulations, and War Eagle!
  8. Obviously, we'd all like to make the playoffs. Outside of that, I'd like to get the Cotton Bowl. I say that completely selfishly. It's the easiest trip for me to make from Oklahoma.
  9. He made a few million dollars by deciding to stay in school one more year, and we all appreciate it.
  10. Got a four pack of Ten Fidy today. It was worth the search and the $$. This (from a can) is on par with draft Founders KBS. It might even be better. Getting Oskar Blues in Oklahoma was an early Festivus miracle.
  11. I don't own one, but I've witnessed my Brother-in-law's Yeti (not sure of the size, but much bigger than the Roadie) hold ice for several days. I would expect the smaller coolers to perform equally well. Hopefully the gasket does the trick for you.
  12. Very nice. Terrapin makes some good stuff. Their Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is simply decadent.
  13. Congrats! You won't miss the hobbies as much as you think. War Eagle!
  14. This mug contains rapidly disappearing Avery Kaiser Imperial Oktoberfest Marzen. Both the mug and the beer are things of beauty.
  15. We've finally got some Oskar Blues stuff in OK. I've asked every store in town to order some Ten Fidy. I hope they come through sooner than later.
