  1. The difference I have noticed the most with the coaching staff this year compared to the most recent staff is that they seem to at least make halftime adjustments. The lack of adjustments is what drove me crazy in the Gus era. The team seemed to come out with the exact same game plan in the second half as the first. Now, if they struggle the first half, they get their butts chewed out, the coordinator's and other coaches get lectured, and they try to tweak things until they find some successes in the second half.
  2. I thought the same thing about this play.
  3. This is so great to hear!
  4. Apologies...I guess SaturdayDownSouth is just a little behind in reporting. I thought this was something substantiating that rumor. I had read on here that they were likely backing off.
  5. I have not been able to read everything since the lock down has been removed on here, but I saw this from a few hours ago. http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/tamu-football/texas-am-reportedly-not-in-mix-for-jarrett-stidham/
  6. Regardless of what happens, and this may be my SEC pride speaking a little here, but I have felt like if they ever had a playoff that ended up with no SEC team represented, that would only speed up the process to get to an 8 team playoff. Money drives everything, and when it comes to college football, a big source of that money is in the Southern states. A 4 team playoff minus an SEC team would at least put a noticeable dent in the money the playoff would bring in that year. That said, I think the committee would do everything in its power to get a two loss SEC champ team in the 4 team play
  7. Actually yeah...that is recent (I am getting old, just turned 40 today...it seemed like the change happened a lot longer ago lol). I was just trying to research it online, and in 2010 they played UGA at home and then the Bammers away. Why the change? I like the schedule better when it is split up, and it would seem, since they are typically a big rivalry match up, that it would make it better for the team to have home field for at least one of those games each year.
  8. I feel like when I was a kid (late Pat Dye years and then the 90's...maybe beyond that even) that any year Auburn had UGA at home we played Bama away and vice versa. Was that the case or am I dreaming that up? And if so, when did it change that we got them both away or both at home each year? I understand that there is more pressing stuff...I was just looking at the 2016 schedule and this always comes up in my mind.
  9. The old AstoTurf was notoriously slippery when wet. Field Turf is a huge improvement in that respect. I didn't notice a whole lot of slipping going on during the game, did you? I did see a cheerleader slip and fall carrying the flag right in front of me...felt bad for the guy. He got up and then got the flag stuck on the goal post.
  10. I was at the game, so I decided to watch it again on ESPN today while I am at work. The camera stayed on that thug after his pick six play...he actually carried the AU ball off the field with him as the ref tried to get it back, then the camera was on him as he handed he ball to a guy who was not dressed out on the sideline (did anyone else see this). If he had taken the original ball, I wonder why all of this post game crap...unless the refs or even his own coaches realized he took the original ball and tracked it down to get it back to our sideline.

  12. Does anyone know the schedule for the tiger walk Wednesday and which side of the stadium they will walk into? Is it two hours before the game (9:00)? And is there any other fun activities Tuesday night or Wednesday?
  13. Hahaha...this is one of the best posts I have ever read on this forum
