  1. Now Bird can send me a pm! I can keep a secret. Hell I've witnessed a.... Oh wait, Nevermind. How bout that pm Bird?
  2. Hell there's about a 50% chance we'll lose each and every game.
  3. wasnt he a qb in hs? Pretty sure that was just his Sr year. Most schools have their biggest play maker play QB so they touch the ball every down. Also it helps then attain a true leadership quality.
  4. No different than us having Kiehl and Zeke honestly.
  5. Hard to describe because they don't really sound like any other bands. Mostly a jazz-infused blues/psychedelic rock sound with the occasional blue grass and ska/reggae beats. Many times each member will be doing his own thing, yet somehow it all works in unison. Your prototypical jam band. Trey Anastasio is one of the greatest guitarists to date. Mike Gordon a well one of the best bassists. Page McConnell on keys and fantastic vocalist (though Trey is "lead". And then there's John Fishman (where the bands name comes from) on percussion. Very quirky guy who sometimes plays the vacuum. And no not everyone at these shows are smelly hippies. Actually maybe 5% of everyone there. They're mostly found at the festivals where you camp for 3-4 days.
  6. My absolute favorite band, Phish, is FINALLY gonna be in my backyard! They are playing Oak Mountain Amphitheater Aug. 27 (Friday) 7:30 pm. Tickets went on sale this morning. Yes mine are already purchased. I'm curious if any others on here might plan on making the show. I've travelled to Miami, Charlotte, Manchester TN (Bonnaroo), and Alpharetta GA (closest they've been) to see them. This is probably the only time I'll ever get the opportunity to go see them, then hop in my truck and RIDE home to my bed. If you're remotely a phan, I suggest you take this opportunity up as well. I promise it will be one of if not the best performances you'll ever see live. Tickets are on sell through livenation.com $45.00 G/A Lawn $60.00 Reserved pavillion seating I am in NO WAY promoting or affiliated with the band or venue. Just a HUGE phan passing along info. Sorry for rambling, just really excited! Would love to meet some of you there. War Eagle, WDEAUB (formerly J)
  7. You went to OHS? C/O '01 here.
  8. 1.) ST, has your percentage fluctuated in any way in the past couple hours? 2.) Has anyone checked the Michigan or Wisconsin sites to see if they are as confident as many of the AU fam?
  9. Pops, I feel like I've known you forever since coming to these boards (used to be "J"). I'm deeply saddened from what has happened. Truly glad to see that you're seeing the silver lining in the grand scheme of things. You are a great man, and though we've never met face to face, I consider you a friend, as well as AU family. I will be praying for you and your family to hold strong. God bless you all. I love you friend.
  10. AUsome. Does this mean he'll be in for Spring semester?
  11. Mods move when necessary but I thought I'd start this here for now. Joe Paterno, you have definitely left your mark on this world. God bless the family.
  12. I've seen Dirk's name long before you brought it up on here. I'm wondering where each rumored name originated.
  13. Didn't want to start a new thread so I'll post this here too. I wonder who started the names of the two Jax coaches. I mean does no one else find it coincidental that there's only a handful of names being thrown out for OC/DC, yet there are TWO OC's being talked about, both from Jax, FL. So my theory is obviously one is legit, and the other just came about from ramblings and rumor. Think of it kind of like playing "Telephone" back in school. You know, I tell one person, who tells another, who tells another, etc., etc., until it gets back to me that what started as my whitey-tighties is now a lacy pink thong. Or something like that. I HOPE that if my theory is true, then Koetter is the truth making Bell the decoy.

  15. Hands down best idea. I would read this blog.
