  1. Exciting game by our ladies. Not particularly well-played with errors in the field and a couple of really bad base running mistakes but great to see them get the win. Never thought I'd find myself nervous and cheering like that during a ladies softball game, lol. War Eagle ladies! Now, go beat UF twice!
  2. Very disappointing. Big-time DTs are the guys most at a premium out there and to "lose" one that was all AU not that long ago is not a positive sign for our defensive recruiting. I, for one, love Garner as an AU man but prefer Rocker as our DL coach. JMO. Wish we had both with RG as TE coach.
  3. Glad to see Tony Richardson get his due. He still has one of the top five AU tackles of all time, i.e. the one he put on James Bostic after Bostic finished off Bammer in '93 with his long touchdown run. WDE Tony!
  4. Can we change the title of this thread to "Baseball.....RANK"?
  5. He's been there 4 or 5 times the past 3 months, AU 0. Ouch
  6. Ok. Was that his first UGA trip or just first with Pruitt there? Thanks!
  7. About Rochester.......not trying to be a smartass but what happened here? Word was for quite awhile that we were way ahead and even some (probably unrealistic) hopes of a commit. Now we are almost writing him off. Anything specific, hard work by Pruitt/Rocker, or just the usual recruiting nonsense? I think we'll be ok regardless but hate to see another big-time DT go to UGA. WDE.
  8. Looks like Shon Coleman to me. And, frankly, we need to sign him just to get that name on our roster. Bro Hamm= AUsome
  9. Brian Williams will recall almost being blindsided as he blocked for the #1 rated RB in a state championship game. Hahahahaha... nice. Doc, to your point: we will get whatever we demand. If we keep intensifying our consumption of recruiting information, then the supply will continue to grow. It is getting to the point to where everything regarding recruiting information will cost an arm and leg to find out. It looks like Brian Williams has dug himself a huge hole he might not ever be able to crawl out of. I feel bad for the guy and hope he can get his career back on track one day. Uh....why would we feel sorry for Brian Williams? He had a successful career and lied only to further inflate himself. I'm glad somebody called him on it. He's getting what he deserves. Having said that, in today's culture most people will have forgotten it next week.
  10. Really want Cowart. Hope he doesn't pull an Evans.
  11. If we miss out on Cowart it will provoke a meltdown that will dwarf the Evans apocalypse. Don't anticipate it but really hope not to witness that.
  12. Thanks for the response! Was mainly going for the redirect and forgot to add the sarcasm emoji.
  13. So about this Ivey guy. I've heard he's pretty good. I wonder if we might have a chance to sign him......
  14. Awe mannn, now you've done it... I know. I thought it might help distract people.
  15. This is why I don't get hung up with how many stars a kid is rated... I'm pretty sure most coaches don't put much stock in that stuff. I saw a post somewhere today that said Bama was cruising to another recruiting national championship... how ridiculous. Look back at their past classes... There are so many guys that don't pan out that are supposed to be instant stars. Remember Dee Liner? Yeah, don't even think he's seen the field yet. Bama recruits based off of stars. I like the coaches that see the potential in 3 stars. Daren Bates was a 2 star and he's starting in the NFL right now. I think Russell Wilson was a 2 star as well and he has a Super Bowl ring and possibly getting 2 in a row. Um, they haven't won less than 10 games since Saban's first season there. They've won 3 national titles. They just won the SEC and went to the playoffs. The NFL is now littered with former bama players. It's possible to hate them and still be semi-realistic about what they are. I promise. Yes, there are examples of 5*s who fail and 2*s who excel. They are the exception, not the rule. Talented teams win championships. In fact, since 2005, every team who has won a title has signed 50% or more blue chip (4* or 5*) players. This. The bottom line is that talent wins more often than not and the more talent you accumulate the better. We all love the stories of the underrated Marks or Powers or even Kevin Greenes of the world that have had collegiate and NFL success despite not being 5-star recruits. But, the more of those 5-star guys that you sign the better your odds of competing for championships. Bammer has done that better than anyone the past 7 years or so and their sustained success proves that it is true, painful as it is to witness and acknowledge.
  16. Kinda like when he and Cowart started seriously considering AU after Muschamp arrived :-\
  17. I'll lay $1000 that KJ signs with AU. Too classy of a kid to think he would pull a Yeldon. And, he will be a good one when he gets here.
  18. Doubt another year in college would make Coates a good catcher of the ball or a polished route runner. His value is likely as high as it will ever be- he's right to leave while he can potentially earn big dollars through the draft.
