  1. Do you mind sending me a message with total price once you figure it out? How much is face value again? Thanks.
  2. Someone posted this on an Auburn group on facebook that I thought was very interesting: TJ Yeldon's flip speech: "Over the last few weeks, I've really put a lot of time and thought into where I want to go to school and continue my football career," Yeldon said in the statement. "I am blessed to be in a situation where I have several great opportunities and I appreciate everyone involved who has helped me get to this point. "I want to make an announcement so I can put this behind me and get to work on the things I need to do to prepare for college both athletically and academically. I am going to enroll at the University of Alabama in January. "I have a lot of respect for Auburn, the coaches, and all of the people there, but at the end of the day I feel like the University of Alabama is the best situation an...d fit for me and my family. I am 100 percent confident with my final decision. I feel great about it and I'm excited to get started." Reuben Foster's flip speech: Over the last few weeks, I've really put a lot of thought and time into where I wanted to (continue) my football career. I am blessed that I am in the situation where I have several great opportunities, and I appreciate everyone attending this meeting. I want to make an announcement so I can put this behind me and get on with all the work that I need to do for high school and get prepared for college, both academically and athletically. I am going to enroll at Auburn University. I have a lot of respect for Alabama and the coaches and all the other people that are there. But at the end of the day, I felt like Auburn University is the place for me and my family and had the best situation for me and my family. I am 100 percent confident with my final decision. I feel great about my decision, and I'm excited to get started." Look familiar? Wonder if maybe Chizik was sending a message to Saban with this one?
  3. MSU - Two weeks and all summer to prepare for us at home. We come off a tough game that will be good for some experience but tough and not allow for the extra prep time MSU will have. Adv - MSU LSU - Bigtime advantage LSU. Will basically have all summer and a month to prep for us with some warm-up scrimmages. Are you kidding me? Arky - No advantage either way IMO. Ole Miss - Advantage AU, but who cares. Vandy - Shouldn't matter. A&M - Advantage AU. After facing LSU the week before, advantage us. UGA - No advantage either way. Bama - No advantage either way. The one thing we have going for us against LSU is that they will not have had to defend a real offense or moved the ball against a real defense, so we could catch them over-confident and under-prepared. The key will be winning our first 2 games without giving away our entire playbook. Also, how can LSU have all summer to prepare for an Auburn team that did not exist last year? (New offensive and defensive schemes) They have no film and no idea what to expect. They will have to rely on the film from the first few games of the season.
  4. Oh, you made it clear. I just disagree. I don't think Boise would ever be a consistent contender for the division or the conference title. The best I could see them doing is about what Arkansas has been doing: they have good years, have even won a couple of division titles in the 20 years they've been part of the SEC, but they have yet to win the conference. And this is a program that does have a few SWC championships in its record books, so it's not like they came from nowhere. I gotcha. I guess I am just one of the few SEC fans that actually likes Boise. Plus I love the underdog unless the underdog is playing Auburn of course.
  5. Maybe I did not make clear what my point was in my post. My last sentence said that they would do well in our conference and given A FEW YEARS would become elite. Which means, if they joined the SEC this year I think they would do well but (like you said) probably be around the middle of the pack. Maybe 6th or 7th in the conference. But if you give them a few years to get adjusted to the speed of the SEC and everything then you could very well see Boise being a consistent contender for their division and for the title.
  6. I don't think I'm following you just yet... He is proposing something like the English Premier Soccer league where the last place teams in the league get relegated in favor of the winners of the lower league. Although he is wrong about Boise. They handled the SEC East Champs in what was essentially a home game for Gawga. They would have won the East last season. Boise has never won a game they weren't favored in without it being the first game of the season or a bowl game. They can't do it without 3-4 weeks to prepare for that 1 team. You know that may be true. But what everybody seems to be overlooking, is that yes Boise St. has 3-4 weeks to prepare for that one game, but the team they play ALSO has 3-4 weeks to prepare for that ONE game. And they can not get it done. Georgia had just as much time to prepare for Boise for the opener as Boise did and Boise came to Georgia's home turf and smacked them in the mouth. Admit it or not, but Boise would do well in any conference. And given a few years would be a consistent elite team.
  7. The only teams that I see as for sure losses are bama, Georgia, and USC. Everybody else has the potential of being beat I think. I personally hope that Missouri comes in year 1 and shocks the East. It would be hilarious.
  8. Anybody know of a way to get Vandy tickets in Nashville? I would prefer to sit with the Auburn fans of course but I am open to anywhere.
  9. So just wondering, but you have both LSU and bama with one loss during the season. Obviously one of them beats the others. But what about that other loss? Lets say bama beats LSU, then who would have beaten bama? And vice versa.

    Job?

So since one of the uses of this board is "job", does anybody know of anybody hiring within an organization/company? I need a job and am trying to use every resource I have to find one. Any ideas? You can PM me or email if you would like. Thanks a lot. WAR EAGLE
  13. Hard to pass up on millions of dollars yeah, you pass up millions of dollars this year to play one more year of college ball, graduate with a degree, and then make millions of dollars just a year later...I can see why that's hard to believe Injury or threat of injury has a way of changing ones perspective If you ask me, that is EXACTLY why he should come back. If he were to get hurt and it ruin his career, then what will he do for a living? If he were to enter the draft now and then get injured his rookie year then w/out a degree What will he do? Sure he could always go back and finish...but wasn't there a study done that showed that the odds of people going back and finishing after "dropping out" aren't good?
