  2. Maybe the U.S. should just make: Election Day a " National Holiday"..
  3. Bo was injureed inTexas game in 1984 https://www.al.com/auburnfootball/2013/12/auburn-florida_state_ed_graham.html THE BUILDUP Auburn, coming off of one of the best seasons in school history, opened the season as the top-ranked team in the country, but back-to-back losses to No. 14 Miami and No. 4 Texas knocked the Tigers off their perch early, and the Texas game cost Auburn dearly. "Superman for us -- and he was Superman, make no doubt about it, was injured three or four games earlier," Graham said. "We felt like we were going into that game a little bit short-handed." Jackson, who had first been banged up in the Miami game, separated his shoulder against the Longhorns and missed several games, including the road trip to Tallahassee against a talented Florida State team. In fact, Jackson's absence threw all of the preseason pre-game buildup of the game -- a rematch of Auburn's thrilling win the season before -- out the window. Florida State had its own All-American at running back, a senior named Greg Allen who rushed for 3,769 yards in his career with the Seminoles. l THE BUILDUP Auburn, coming off of one of the best seasons in school history, opened the season as the top-ranked team in the country, but back-to-back losses to No. 14 Miami and No. 4 Texas knocked the Tigers off their perch early, and the Texas game cost Auburn dearly. 4. I just watched the 1985 Florida State Vs. Auburn Game. It is amazing at the stable of backs we had at that time. Not sure how coach Die did it but he seemed to spread the workload. Sure, Bo is the more well known back and most talked about but he was surrounded by other Big Guys Fullwood and Agee. Backs you don't hear much about. Even the third string back got a little action in the end. I enjoyed watching some old smash-mouth-football. At least up to the fourth quarter then... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SxDRdulqS8 Yes, it is the full game, not just first half. Even some half-time show and commercials if you like the full effect.
  5. Hastings. That ball was being thrown away.. From out of nowhere it was caught by Hastings for a First down. But then you could say All the players were MVP at some point. This was a TEAM WIN.
  6. At first, the offence was moving the ball using short slant routes. Gus decides to abandon what is working to try to run gimmick play, whirly bird and runs.. What coach in his right mind does this? Take what the defense offers and make them adjust then burn them with a deep pass... I think a peewee H.C. coach could do better..
  7. Dad Had the 17 - 16 game on vinyl for the longest. Played it over and over.. Especially when Alabama fans were at the house. Was 10 yrs old...
  8. Almost never Bama... ND sucks and they keep getting built up as some power house... So Bama over ND should it ever arise again.. No leg humpers. Okie = ok LsU = ok TN = would luv it if they ever beat bama's butt again
  9. Those crazy people go gator hunting in stormy weather. A little rain won't matter. It'll be just another day for them. Givem he_ _ Auburn!..
  10. Was hoping we would face Georgia with them having a goose egg in the loss column. If we beat them now, I am not so sure it will give us much boost in the rankings should we manage to climb back within reach and also win out... Maybe I am wrong in looking back to 2013... Hope this team grows from the loss and does not let the blemish ruin what started out as a very good / wonderful season. Let's go Tigers, time to put on the big boy britches and win out.. Maybe this is Gus's wake-up call as well. Can't coach to not lose. WAREAGLE!
  11. Hopefully before/at start of SEC run. What was promised to Boobie to get him to come to Auburn? I don't understand someone that plays Defense all his football years and then thinks he is a running back. Takes more Talent than Running(Mouth)... Tulane shut him up/down...
  12. 😀😀Hope Every One has a Great Day!!!😎 WAREAGLE!!
  13. Tigerbelle, Thanks for posting the half time show. I have a nephew that is working with the band while getting his master degree at Auburn and he is looking forward to being a band director. Not sure if my brother and his wife will be able to make a game due to health issues but I have sent them a link to the video. Again, Many Thanks. Wareagle.
  14. As for Gus not wanting to run up the score or not... As an ex-athlete, I preferred a team that was whooping my arse to score every time possible so I could learn to try and stop them. That is the way one gets better. It is more embarrassing to be backed into a corner and just have someone quit playing as if to say: you are not a worthy opponent... Hope that this game is a building block for the future but I have doubts considering the competition level...
