  1. Old fart needs to keep his crap up there with that bunch of hillbilly's and worry about Dooooley and his dang Vols. If Robinson is ineligible because his grades were changed by someone at his high school, why would not Josh Chapman be declared ineligible for his entire playing career at bama and bama forced to vacate every game he played in? the precident has been set - chapman played with fake grades - jovon should be good to go I know I am the one that linked the article, but there is, or could be one big difference. In Chapman's case the high school involved kissed bama's azz

  3. Mistakes like this happen and you don't punish the student: "Bishop said he and Hoover Superintendent Andy Craig decided not to make a formal correction on the second transcript because Hoover made the mistake. The NCAA Clearinghouse used that version to determine Chapman's eligibility for this season. Craig declined to discuss individual cases but said "if an error was made on a grade/transcript in favor of the student, as a general rule, I don't think we would punish the student for a mistake that we made."" http://www.usatoday.com/sports/preps/football/2007-08-23-hoover_N.htm
  4. If the rumors have been out their that long, then I'm sure our compliance department is all over it. That being the case, since he is practicing, I'm guessing that the determined he, and we, are in the clear. IDK, did you catch this part of the story? "The statement said the city was contacted by the NCAA on Tuesday afternoon regarding the allegation of a falsified transcript and that Supt. Kriner Cash assigned staff to investigate it."
  5. I thought he had already transferred. But he may have difficulty being eligible now that this has been brought out in the open.
  6. It has got some press-- http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/high-school-coach-takes-issues-alabama-recruiting-tactics-213239312--ncaaf.html The timing of Tennstud's message board garbage is interesting... bama might be worried about Foley.
  7. Don't forget Paul Finebaum writes for SI as well. Who's next, Scott Moore or Danny Sheridan?
  8. I've been posting over here about a year as a refuge from al dot com after I finally couldn't stand dealing with the bammer trash anymore. It has been great talking college football in general and Auburn football in particular with fellow Auburn folks in a sane and civil fashion. I hope that that is possible on this merged site... I guess I will find out shortly.
  9. Don't be insulting monkeys by compairing them to bammers I don't know about monkeys... but bammers be crazy!
  10. All the schollies are not used until ink to paper on February 6th, 2013 Good point! It is easy to forget these commits have not played their senior season of high school yet and things can change.
  11. I agree. But sometimes these things are more about the matchups the coaches choose for whatever reason. For instance, we have inexperienced players on the offensive line and running back spot. Might be they wanted to see how/teach lineman and/or running backs picked up blitz's, etc? Agree. It's my understanding that a number of the sacks in yesterday's scrimmage were attributed to the LB's. Great indication of what to expect from BVG's more aggressive defensive strategy. ^^^THIS. The LBs took a step forward yesterday. So we are already in game preparations for Clemson.
  12. Sometimes all it takes is for the light to come on for a few players while the team on the other side of the field has unexpected problems. For instance, some of our strong competitors might be an injury or two away from being average, who knows how things are going to play out?
