    What became of Sean White?

Did he continue to play football? They guy was such a mystery. Seemed awesome, then lost all fundamentals.

    2019 Men's Basketball Recruiting Thread

We miss Heron a lot. He was a leader. He also combined outside shooting, slashing to the rim, rebounding and physical toughness. It broke my heart that he did not return. I keep thinking about what a great team we would have if he had come back. We don't have anyone like him on the team. It is possible that Okeke could become that guy, but he is off and on.

    ***Early NSD Discussion Thread***

Where is Papoe? I saw where he "early committed" but I don't see his name on a dotted line anywhere.

Josh Moon has some Malzahn info

Leach is honest. He would never fit in.

    Tuberville weighs in ...

If Auburn had stuck to their guns and hired Petrino, we would be celebrating a couple of national championships. He was that good. Of course, he would have found a pretty secretary and gone to the NFL to self-destruct, but we were in a great position to dominate the SEC at that time. Then Tubs brought us down the long slide to mediocrity.

    Men vs. Arizona

Bill Walton is proof that evolution is a farce. He was pretty toked up.

    Our Backup QBs

There is way, way too much criticism of the backup QBs on this site. Both of them are strong runners. They both play the run option well. You can't see that in a tag game like A-day. We've gone with mostly backup receivers all spring. Both of those guys are very talented, and, put in the right situation would do well. Just my 2 cents.

    A-Day thread

Are there any stats from A Day posted anywhere? I don't mean just a spot stat here and there, I mean for the game, for all the players.

    A-Day thread

I enjoyed going to the A Day game. I like Coach Malzahn, but there is no doubt he puts on the worst spring game ever. Unfortunately, that sometimes carries over to the beginning of the season. I saw some really good things from our first team defense, but we are very thin. Running backs were pretty undisciplined except for Torbert, the walk on. We didn't have much talent playing at receiver but that should sort itself out in Fall. One thing to fear.... more injuries. We just don't have the depth to keep getting hurt. Defense looks very well coached. But once we run out of Muschamp recruits, we could be headed for hard times.

    Fair Catch Kickoff rule proposal

If you tag them with just one hand, they are not down. You must tag them with both hands.

    ESPN Preseason FPI Rankings

Clemson had some top flight players decide to come back because they loved their team. The National Fools League will still be there. Wish Auburn players had the same heart.

    Class superlatives

I think this class, as a whole, is underrated. They will make their mark!

    2018 3* SDE/DT Caleb Johnson

I think this guy was our best "surprise". It is difficult to say how he will turn out but he sure looks fast and athletic.

    2018 4* SDE/DT Malik Langham

This is the most disappointing news of the day. We were never going to get Ross but we got some good receivers. Langham should have been ours. This one hurts and will hurt the team.
  16. It's the same old story for Auburn. Our guys had people talking contracts with them. Half of them did not give a rip. We lose more unqualified underclassmen than any other team. I think Saban must hire guys to entice our players. I know a lot of our "fans" encourage our players to go pro. Most of them do not make it or could have done better by staying in school. Look at Holland. He just became a starter this year. One more year and he would have been a superstar. Pettway... a year with Johnson and he could have been a star, a first round pick. Now, he will be doing good to make a team. Davis fakes sick all week to work on his contract. How could we possibly beat UCF with the kind of mentality we see around Auburn? All of them playing not to get hurt and trying to work out their draft status. Auburn should have just stayed home, or taken just the players that were not going pro. Sickens me. Same thing, year after year. Deep teams, such as Bama do not lose as many underclassmen as we do.

UCF had eyes on winning. AU had eyes on NFL

Yes, now we know for certain Davis faked being sick. That was obvious. He partied with the team all weak and called in sick to practice until Gus sent him home.

Teammates: Davis made decision to sit out

Yeah, he needs to practice his kneeling for the national anthem in the National Fool League.

    Ten Things You Must Do...

Some real good stuff in there. There is a lot I admire about Gus Malzahn. However, his lack of flexibility, his inability to adapt to failure and his stubborn refusal to learn from mistakes is not admirable and hurts Auburn a lot. Gus says he learns from mistakes but he really sticks to his philosophy of doing the same thing over and over, no matter what. See the LSU game for an example. We would have been in the playoffs if Gus had adapted to the changes LSU made in the second half.

    Brad Lester ?‍♂️

I would like to know more about this situation. Anyone in a position of responsibility can be accused and it is easy to set someone up to look guilty. If he is guilty, I hope they throw the book at him. If he is not guilty, the truth needs to be publicized.

Teammates: Davis made decision to sit out

No, we won't. I don't give a rat's behind about the "we hate the national anthem" professional league.

Teammates: Davis made decision to sit out

Davis didn't just make the decision to sit out the game. He traveled with the team, participated in the activities, received the gifts, told the coaches he was sick and could not practice. This had to be demoralizing to the team and had to affect the game plan of the coaches. Gus finally caught on and sent him home. I'm disappointed that Gus covered for him. Saban would have sent his donkey butt home and told the press what he did. Actually, no one would have the nads to do this to Saban. I like Gus but he has got to grow a pair. Davis' behavior was shameful and hurt the team. He should have just made his stupid decision and owned up to it. What a loser. I hope the NFL teams look at this and realize he has some character issues. Gus should have roasted him publicly.
