  1. Let's strike up some way too early discussion and see who we believe will be Auburn's leading rusher in the 2018-19 season! Personally I believe that Chandler Cox will run the "Cox Cat" with his twirly feet for 2,000+ yards
  2. So i decided to simulate the first game of the season and watch the computer play against its self. I thought it'd be fun to see how this will stack up against the actual game. Figured it'd make for some interesting debate, so here are the results! After a defensive stop by Auburn the tigers speed down the field picking up small yards with every play and Tre Mason punches the ball in from 2 yards out. TOUCHDOWN AUBURN! 7 Auburn - WSU 0 Washington state returns the kick off for 24 yards and sets up to begin their offensive counterattack. Unfortunately Chris Davis would have none of this, Davis jumps the slant route to return an interception to give Auburn a early two touchdown lead! 14 Auburn - WSU 0 After Mike Leach gives the quarterback a proper cursing the Cougars come on the field and are finding a rhythm. Finally being able to face an energized Jordan-Hare stadium and a excited defense. The Cougars confuse the secondary with a flurry of passes and score with and 18 yard touchdown pass. 14 Auburn - WSU 7 Auburn looking to answer before the end of the first quarter are in 5th gear in the hurry up offense. Washington State's defense is incapable of keeping up with the shifting formations and Tre Mason slices through the cougars again for a 13 yard touchdown! 21 Auburn - WSU 7 The Tigers do not let off the throttle against the cougars whom are being punished by the balanced attack as well as the fast pace. Johnathan Wallace finds Sammie Coates repeatedly on this drive and is able to connect for 14 yards touchdown pass and Auburn begins to create some separation! 28 Auburn - WSU 7 Coach Rodney Garner is absolutely ecstatic on the sideline as his defensive line is creating sacks in the backfield forcing the Cougars to punt. Wallace fakes the ball to CAP and the defense bites hard on the play fake, and running free down the middle of the field is Quan Bray for a 57 yard AUBURN TOUCHDOWN! Early in the second half this game looks to be over! 35 Auburn - WSU 7 With little time in the second half Mike Leach's offense is struggling to find some momentum and the QB attempts to force a pass into coverage. Unfortunately for WSU the pass is picked off and with short time Auburn drives down the field for a chip shot 36 yard field goal by Mr. Parkey, and this will pad Auburn's lead. 38 Auburn - WSU 7 At the beginning of the second half Washington State answers Auburn's run with a short 19 yard field goal. 38 Auburn - WSU 10 The Tigers have a much more methodical drive than usual, driving down the field little by little. Just two yards out from the goal line Washington State goes to make a stand getting into the backfield quickly. However, CAP has already beat them to the edge and is in for another AUBURN TOUCHDOWN! 45 Auburn - WSU 10 The game is looking to be a blow out but after last season the fans could care less, and the crowd is still rocking the stadium into the 4th quarter. However, the Cougars haven't caught up and caught the secondary napping on them. Washington State silences the crowd with a 78 yard touchdown pass. 45 Auburn - WSU 17 Auburn begins to drive down the field again but stall near the 50 forcing them to punt the ball back to the Cougars with 1:51 in the game. With success on the drive the Cougars start to try to go deep but Mincy and Davis both get a deflection on the drive. Eventually WSU punches it in from 1 yard out but the game is all but over. 45 Auburn - WSU 24 The crowd is filng out now as the Auburn Tigers have taken a knee and the final seconds tick off of the clock! Winner: The Auburn Tigers Stats: Johnathan Wallace 25/32 375 yards passing, 2 TD's and he took 1 sack (plus 21 rushing yards on 7 attempts) Tre Mason 14 carries for 79 yards and 2 TD's 3 rec for 34 yards CAP 1 rushing touchdown Sammie Coates 9 rec 170 yds 1 td Quan Bray 3 rec 83 yards 1 td Brandon Fulse 3 rec 20 yds Jaylon Denson 3 rec 26 yds Trovon Reed 2 rec 27 yards DEFENSE Ryan White 6 tack 1 deflection Kris Frost 6 tack 1 tfl Jermaine Whitehead 4 tack 1 assisted tack Demetruce McNeal 4 tack 1 int Justin Garrett 3 tack 1 deflection Jonathan Mincy 3 tack 1 deflection Dee Ford 2 sacks Gabe Wright 1 sack Chris Davis 1 int Angelo Blackson, Joshua Holsey, Jeffery Whitaker, Anthony Swaine all recorded tackles! Hope you guys enjoyed, thoughts? Let me know if i should do this again a few days before the next game!
