Times for Oct. 2nd weekend confirmed

BATON ROUGE -- LSU's game against Georgia on Oct. 2 in Athens has been picked up by CBS and will be televised to a national audience, the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday.

The LSU-Georgia game is the second half of a CBS doubleheader on Oct. 2 as the network will start that day with Arkansas at Florida at 11 a.m. CT. The LSU-Georgia game will follow at 2:30 p.m. CT.

Other television games on Oct. 2 include South Carolina at Alabama at 5 p.m. CT on ESPN2 and Auburn at Tennessee at 6:45 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Either 1 of two things here:

1. CBS is dumb because the better teams will now be playing on ESPN.

or

2. Gameday is going to Knoxville and asked CBS to allow them to televise the AU vs. UT game.
