The rendering pot in Fayetteville is usually reserved for pigs, but the locals are hoping to fill the thing with Pachyderms this weekend. Mike Shula's Tuscaloosa Tuskers would like to avoid that fate, but that's gonna be difficult. Big Al might have a taste for pork, but Houston Nutt will be enjoying himself some Grade "A" elephant hide on Saturday.

Tommy Tuberville's Pride of Tigers might be a little scratched up after last week's war, and they're looking to lick their wounds this Saturday. And they're gonna be licking their chops too when they see Bobby Lamb's South Carolina Soldiers coming. They're a tough Troop, and they'll fight to the grave, but they ain't got the numbers to compete in this one.

Ron Zook will have his Giant Swamp Lizards in a hungry mood this weekend, and that could spell bad news for the Commonwealth Kitties. In fact, the Lexington Felines have been getting skinned at such a regular rate, that their ain't much flesh left on the bone. And that means the Rowdy Reptiles will eat them alive and still have that empty feeling in their bellies.

The Volunteer Army better be sure its powder is dry when the Ruston Canines visit. Jack Bicknell's Pack of Dogs have been known to show their teeth, and they'll have them bared this weekend. It'll be up to the Big Orange Brigade to not back down when the hackles are up, and I don't think they will.

Mississippi at Wyoming

The Southern Insurgents ain't used to doing battle at altitude, so they better be packing some extra red blood cells. When they get to Laramie, Joe Glenn's Bunkhouse Boys will have their guns raised, and they'll do their best to fill David Cutcliffe's Graybacks full of lead. The Cowpokes will meet their mark a time or two, but they ain't gonna spill enough blood to make it matter.

Mississippi St. at LSU

When Sylvester Croom's Pack of Dogs hits Red Stick Town they better be wearing their gridiron waders. After all, the Bayou is a pretty wet place, and it causes even the hardiest canines to get a case of trench paw. Nick Saban's Bayou Bengals are used to doing their business in a swamp, and that makes them a pretty dangerous bunch.

Troy St. at South Carolina

Larry Blakely brings his Trojan Spread to the Chicken Coop this weekend. The Alabama Soldiers grabbed the college football world by the collar a few weeks back, and now they want to wring the neck of Commander Cluck and his Bosses of the Barnyard. But once you get your hands on a Rooster, that's when the real work starts, and I ain't sure the Troop from Troy knows what it's in for.

Wyoming loses by 13

Not a flame, but just wondering why you think Wyoming will lose to Ole Miss? Did you see anything particular when ya'll played that makes you think that?

4-8 in the Mountain West last year. Lost 31-0 to A&M this year.

Of the 7 offensive starters they return, none are the QB or a RB.
