AURandy1345162767 14 Posted September 17, 2011 Share Posted September 17, 2011 Has one, or maybe more, of the mods gotten so sensitive about what many feel are legitimate criticisms of AU, especially on defense, that anything posted is getting deleted? Those of us who post on here love AU as much as the mods or anyone else, but when we feel we need to speak our minds about things AU, then we should be able to do to this without our posts being summarily deleted. Are the only posts you mods want are bouquets of roses? Anybody who watched the Clemson game today saw one of the poorest-coached defenses anyone has ever seen---AU or anyone else. At one point late in the game, Clemson was 12 for 16 on 3rd down conversions. You do realize that is 75% conversion. I wonder if that's a NCAA record? AU gave up over 600 yards of offense to a team that struggled to beat Wofford last week. WOFFORD for crying out loud!!!!! One thread--which has probably been deleted by now---posted that AU's defense has given up over 1600 yards of offense in 3 games. That's coaching!!! How many times did it seem that an AU defender had a Clemson player ready for the kill behind the line, just to see that player squirt by the defender and pick up 3,4,5 yards or more or worse yet, get the first down? We can all glide over the Utah State and MSU games because AU somehow won those games, but you cannot overlook what happened to day, and someone needs to be held responsible for the deplorable display of defense AU played today. Is that Chizik? He's the head honcho. Is it Ted Roof? He's the DC. Someone has to step up to the plate and take responsibility and let us know that, whether or not we win the rest of the games, our defense will never play that bad again.
