TigerfanKM 37
Auburn and Arkansas have played one common opponent so far. We Beat Lous Monroe 31-0 and they beat them 49-20. Consider the following current SEC Stats: Scoring Offense- AU 33.8 (SEC rank 2nd) ARK 37.8 (SEC Rank 1st) ADV- ARK Scoring D- AU 7.2 (SEC rank 1st) ARK 22.0 (SEC Rank T-7th) ADV - AU Passing Offense - AU 237 (SEC Rank 3rd) Ark 253 (SEC Rank 1st) ADV - ARK Passing D- AU 149 (SEC Rank 2nd) ARK 198 (SEC Rank8th) ADV - AU K/O Returns- AU 25.8 (SEC Rank 2nd) ARK- 17.5 (SEC Rank 11th) ADV - AU Punting - AU 39.1 (SEC Rank 4th) ARK- 35.5 (SEC Rank 9th) ADV - AU Turnovr Margin- AU +8 (SEC Rank 2nd) ARK -1 (SEC Rank 8th) ADV - AU Rush Offense- AU 198 (SEC Rank 4th) ARK 206 (SEC Rank 2nd) ADV- Ark Rush D- AU 100 (SEC Rank 1st) ARK 159 (SEC Rank 8th) ADV - AU Total Offense- AU 435 (SEC Rank 2nd) ARK 459 (SEC Rank 1st) ADV - ARK Total D- AU 250 (SEC Rank 2nd) ARK 357 (SEC Rank 9th) ADV - AU Punt Returns- AU 16.8 (SEC Rank 1st) ARK 5.1 (SEC Rank 10th) ADV - AU Pass Efficiency- AU 173.6 (SEC Rank 1st) ARK 155 (SEC Rank 2nd) ADV AU SACKS- AU 16 (SEC Rank 1st) ARK 7 (SEC Rank T-9TH) ADV - AU Penalties- AU 61.7 YPG (Last in SEC) ARK 41.2 YPG (1st in SEC) As you can see, our most glaring advantages are in Scoring D, Passing D, K/O Returns, Turnover Margin, Rush D, Total D, and sacks. If our offense has a l8ittle bit of a off day, our defense should be solid enough to get the WIN!! War Eagle!!

tombigbeetiger 223
if AU does not turn the ball over and does not let jones break outside containment, arkie does not score.....plain and simple
quietfan 233
I still like the cliche that "Offense sells tickets, Defense wins games"! Plus, look at the basic match-ups: Our defense vs. their offense: Both ranked near the top in most categories=close match..call it a draw? Our offense vs. their defense- Our offense much higher ranked than their defense=clear advantage Auburn. As long as we keep our head and don't let them win the emotional/psychological game, we should do fine. [Fingers crossed!] 27 14 .. I hope! eibua12 81
Yeah well La Monroe has 396 yards of offense against The score at halftime was 35-20 not much happened in the second half Matt Jones played the entire game! Not sure about the rest of the team Used a very basic offense and I mean basic, that game was boring.. To be honest the only team with a good defense that they have faced was BAMA. and here is the net with BAMA Being first DOH! TOTAL NET YARDS 328 333 Total offensive plays 64 64 Average gain per play 5.1 5.2 On paper this should be a slaughter sorry gang I just don't think their offense is that impressive, buuuut I know football and I am scared that this is the one game of the year (not the LSU Game) that can trip a team up. That is why will play the game. To do a good comparison I would take the stats from La Monroe, Texas, and BAMA for Arky and La Monroe, LSU, and UT and see how we fare against each other. rebdawg 5
Arkansas' defense is young and athletic but they are horrible tacklers. In fact, bad tackling is an Ark. signature. Nutt is so into stripping the ball that their tackling has always suffered because of it, but this defense seems to be the worst at it. With the physical nature of not just our running backs but also our receivers I can see a scenario where we have lots of Sports Center moments – 30+ yard runs with five or six broken tackles. Problem is we score quicker, which gives Jones more opportunities. Thoughts and opinions?
mayonaise 0
Bad tackling = Caddy & Ronnie breaking one or two.
Draven 0
If Arky doesnt tackle well this game could get out of hand in a hurry, we all know well Mix, Taylor, and Williams are at breaking weak tackles, and Brown is even better at it than they are. Look at MSU they tried all game to arm tackle our receviers and our backs and look what good it did them. Arky better not try to take the ball away and worry about ending the play or the only thing the D will get is someone helping them to their feet after Brown, Williams, and company are in the endzone. On second thought can someone pass a note and tell Arky to try the weak arm tackles, should make for a fun day if your a Tiger fan. WDE!!! Go smoke those
AURaptor 1,122
I'm liking the odds of our fast, aggressive D vs the inexperience of the Arky 0-line. -also- Our O should be able to not only score points, but also keep the ball for long periods of time, and out of the hands of Superman..err..Matt Jones.
