Yeah, I get Chizik is good at making hires. Yeah, he wanted to go to the NFL for a DCo.

But seriously, how did we get a a guy that gets thrown around in NFL head coach discussions? This wasn't a coach like Koetter who is getting run off of his team. This is a serious blow to the Falcons. Is this a change of heart on his part to get back to coaching college guys? I can't imagine the pay is better either.

Even though he wasn't terrible, It wasn't likely that the Falcons were going to keep him. Him leaving was lot like Roof leaving for UCF. And, its not like he was a hot commodity as a HC candidate.
