"Big Leagues" song by AU grad Earl Brackin

Recommended Posts

The song "Big Leagues" was recently played at Plainsman Park before the AU baseball season opener. Earl Brackin (my uncle) is a singer/songwriter who studied music at AU. Here's the link- hope you like it.

Or better yet- just search it on Spotify

Thanks guys- appreciate the feedback.

Now if I could just figure out how to get Josh Turner to record "Big Leagues" on his next CD...

Some bluegrass bands have started playing a few of Earl's other songs on that album, including "Mystery of Your Smile".

Earl taught music in Opelika and Auburn city schools back in the 80s before becoming a music pastor. The Corner did a nice write-up for him last summer when he released his album.

When did he release "Big Leagues"?  Hate to tell you, but that song is a hit.  I think it needs to be reproduced.  In the hands of good producers over in LA (or Nashville) -- that's a potential top 10 country song.

Or as it is, it's a great song to be licensed for baseball games and/or soundtracks.

Huh. I could probably help.
