First, he's got to compete with many surrounding states in a recruting lottery, in which he still pulls in a lot of quality talent. For the last three years, we have been in the running for the NCAA tournament and have made it once. He won the SEC west two years ago and almost made the tourney this past year and the year before that. We had also not been to the SEC tournament in a while. He's done that the past 3 years. Give him a break. He's developing a program and is right there in the mix to make the tournament every year. Just a few more wins a year, and we'll be back to hosting a regional. We'll get there, this might even be the year. CJP has pulled in a lot of quality talent and seems to be a very good head coach. While our fundamentals have been average at best the past few years, we also have become a much better offensive squad than before his era. He has made major strides with this program. The only reason we made the tournament last year is because they took 10 teams instead of 8. Just making the tournament when 10 out or 12 teams make it, isn't a judge of success. I do think this will be the telling year. If you look at CJP's record in Charleston, it took him 4 years before he started showing progress. Hopefully this is his breakout year.
