Yep. If you look at the past this has always been the case. For instance, bammer didn't get hammered until after their '92 season. USC dominated the early 2000's and didn't get hammered until AFTER all their MNC's and until AFTER Carroll bolted for the NFL. OSU didn't get hammered for a good while into Tressel's tenure. Even though nothing ever came of it, the NCAA let Cam play in the MNC game and are only NOW going after AU (supposedly). It pissed a lot of people off that the NCAA let Cam stay eligible because of some "loophole." Let's face it, the NCAA could have made him sit (even if nothing ever came of it) if they really wanted to.

I think we might see the same with Bammer. Saban will bolt or retire and then the hammer will fall. But they will NEVER do it as long as bammer is a top 5 team. As long as a team is not the current cash cow, the NCAA doesn't mind investigating.
