2015 5* JUCO RB Jovon Robinson commits to AU!

I want this guy as much as I do Marshall.

I don't think that we will land both. Probably one or the other, but with recruiting you never know sometimes. I would be happy with either KM or JR. That would be my top 2 RB's left on the board.

I agree, but I would also throw Russell Shell in the mix since we are just stating what backs we would like.  I don't think we'll get him, but I would be very happy with him too.

Dj I read on a tenn message board that hes gonna make a decision soon... Truth to that?

Yes. More to come about him later.

Hope it is good news.  This would finish our RB recruiting.

Quote from auburn. rivals from Jovon Robinson, ""I would say Auburn is sticking out right now, that was a great visit," said Robinson. "I stay in touch with Auburn and they stand out. They have a high place atop my list. Auburn has a strong program, and all the coaches are great and they want to achieve the same goal."

Since Robinson's trip to Auburn for Big Cat weekend, he has reflected on that weekend and what stood out about the Tigers program, and three things seemed to stand out to Robinson.

"One thing I remember from that visit was them showing me how they distribute the ball, and that family connection they have," Robinson said. "Also coach (Curtis) Luper, and how he wants the best relationship with the player and wants to see us grow into men."

Who is this Marshall Harder?  Sounds like the perfect name for a "movie" star.

Or a safety or middle linebacker.

Or a porn star ?   :-X

Wow! Yada went back a whole week for that one. lol

D.J., if we are "sticking out" does that mean we are leading?

I don't know. Bird sticks out but I do not know he leads for anything.  :dunno:

How can you not be excited about the thought of Mike&Mike,T'n'T.J.,Jovon,and Quan rotating in and out of the back field? How in the h-e-double hockey sticks do you prepare for something like that? ...and that my friend is just the running game.

Fellas, as much as I'm looking forward to seeing all of those guys this year, something keeps whispering in my ear. Watch out for T. Stallworth if he stays healthy.

You have, unfortunately, led in the "failed jokes" category for a long time!!  BTW, there is a 50% chance your next joke will fail!!

I'm with you there. Stallworth was coming along nicely when he got hurt. He's had over a year to heal. Hopefully he's ready to go.

JR is my favorite RB in this entire class...Im telling yall....Ronnie Brown part 2....WDE... :tdau:

I was thinking the same thing after watching his videos earlier this week.  Has a Herschel Walker/Ronnie Brown look about him running with Carnel Williams kind of cutbacks and acceleration.  A really impressive back!

The kid is impressive that's for sure. Still, if I had one running back in this class to take, it'd be Keith Marshall.

Marshall is a great RB thats for sure...I just dont know how durable he is....Me??? I just love a 6'1 220 RB who can run over you or out run you...JR is the complete package!!! Ronnie Brown version 2.....

I hate the thought of going up against Jovon as a Razorback.

He would be the perfect FB to replace Eric Smith. He reminds me of Rodney Coe who we recruited in the last class. He is also a lot like Kenno Loyal and Beniquez Brown in this class. He is a powerful back in similarity to Ronnie Brown, but not nearly as fast.

Much better athlete than Smith and better lateral ability than Ronnie Brown.

I'm sure you guys are both qualified scouts, but I would be willing to bet that Ronnie Brown at that age wouldn't have blown Robinson out in a foot race.  Better lateral movement than Ronnie?  If you say so.

I do agree that he is in another class than Eric Smith.

Look at both of them run. Ronnie is obviously a better overall back but lateral agility is not his strongest suit. His hands and straight line running are his strengths. JR has exceptional lateral agility...especially for his age.
