He was a part of the local music scene here in Birmingham. There is an event at Rogue Tavern tonight, which is on 2nd Ave North, to honor him and help raise some money for his family.

35-year old Samuel Foster (pictured) died in an automobile accident late last night. The accident happened just before 9 p.m. on Interstate 459. Foster was driving his Mazda Tribute when he passed another vehicle on the outside lane. While passing, he lost control, struck another vehicle, left the roadway and flipped. Foster was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Foster worked in promotions for WZZK, WBPT, and WZNN. This statement comes from the Cox home office. “CMG is sorry to hear of the death of Sam Foster in Birmingham and expresses our sincerest condolences to his family and co-workers.”
