What's the bet? I can top that. I present to you the #19 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes, 8-2 overall & 6-1 in conference play with one game left one against Wisconsin & fighting for a chance to play New Years Day in the CapOne Bowl. Here's their injury list. Note the number of out-for-season type injuries:

That's 5, count 'em, 5 RBs. Brownlee was hurt in the 2nd Qtr last weekend. If by chance Iowa's walking wounded can beat Wisconsin, and Ohio State upsets Michigan, Iowa will share the conference title with Michigan. Not too shabby for a team decimated by injuries.

Edit: Oops! Jr Rosegreen's hit on UGA's Reggie Brown was worse than I originally thought. I just checked AU's injury list on that site and discovered that Rosegreen hit Brown so hard, Brown is now listed as an AU injury. Ouch! That's got to hurt.

Minus one or two, and it sounds like a bunch of guys who HAVE to play the entire game, because their backups are either freshmen or walk-ons.

That was uncalled for AU Tax Man. I want to pound bammer as much as the next guy. I'd love to hang a 30-40 point loss on them. But I'm not into seeing kids get seriously hurt.
