2015 Recruiting Board (Updated: 2/4/15)

Figured this was the best place to put this observation ...

One week before 2014 signing day and 11 of the 20 threads on the first page are for 2015/2016 recruits. Even one of the 9 is regarding the February 1st weekend with a strong 2015 showing. That is a positive sign to me. Means this 2014 class is pretty set and should end on an uptick with the promise of 2015 starting strong.

Looks like we're going head to head with UF for a couple of big named guys. Here's to hoping for another 5+ loss season out of the Gators.

Here's hoping they keep Muschamp for several years. I don't see them being a contender for anything under Muschamp and if they are it will take them a while to get there ( assuming they give him the time). I expect another 5 or more loss season for florida next year. They have zero talent on offense.

Allie Davison ‏@Allie_Davison

2015 #Rivals100 RB Eric Swinney says that 2015 #Auburn QB commit Tyler Queen has been after him hard. Both from Georgia

Maybe we can take two running backs in this class.

I heard we were only taking one

WDEWDE was told 1. Swinney says he was told 2 by the staff.

We better do something, and make sure bama isn't interested in the same LBs as us or we will get screwed yet again.

The coaching staff better get busy and get 3-4 LB for the 2015 class. This position has been under recruited now for several years.

69 prospects added in the OP. Latest updates added on post #2.

Offense - post #1.

Defense/Specialists - post #2.

:timeout: Lotta work! I reckon we are recruiting Holland at OLB, and not MLB like I mentioned in the Roquan thread. So sue me! May be selling him on playing next to Tre since he looks to be the future at MLB with his skill set.

I'm curious why we are planning on taking just 2 LB commitments given that we continue to need big strong fast SEC type LBs. I realize that we have added some quality in 2014 but why wouldn't we look at adding 3 if the talent is there? Or is it a numbers limit.

Haha....No just little ole me. Honestly wondering if we would take 3 looking at our targets. We really focused on dbacks last year and this year I understand is a good OL crop. I personally think we still need to strengthen our LB numbers IF the quality is there.

Auto save. ;D

Thanks WarEagleAU. What is pipeline?

A state which traditionally produces a lot of quality college football prospects. The most commonly mentioned states are Florida, Georgia and Alabama. I think Texas will result in a new pipeline state for Auburn in few years.

Our defensive scheme with Mike and Will LB - Not a big need, though. Auburn would take a third LB if he was an elite prospect.
