Let the meltdown begin! On your mark...get set....GO!

Just a question - but WHEN would a meltdown be acceptable? Just curious...please help those of us who expect far more from the #3 team in the nation besides that atrocity of execution at the end on offense, horrific defense, and below average special teams? Help me out here....

Please. Do not blame Dismukes. Wait for info. He snapped it for a reason. That kid has WON a ton of games busting his tail for AU...

Well Ellis had the offense cover his ineptness with enough points again, just didn't count on that blocked FG TD.

Sorry I doubted you bud. You were right all along. Defense is lost

Tough loss. Disappointed but such is life in the SEC West.

Also, tonight proves we were not as good as our ranking and Texas A&M was not as bad as everyone thought they were.

I do blame the refs on this one. That was a recovery by CAP.

We played poorly but to go out like that...

Just wow.

That's what I saw too, but A&M ended up with it (stole it in the pile is what I am assuming), and the replay couldn't see CAP had good control on the ground. No doubt he was first on it.

So why did he snap it like NM was under center?

1) Offense choked twice with the game on the line.

2) Perhaps it wouldn't have come to that if our D hadn't given up four TDs in the first half by a True Freshman making his first road start.

We need to seriously look at the 4-2-5 defensive scheme. I wonder why Southern Miss was 0-12.

I never had a major issue with hiring him but I always wondered why many was so excited about him esp. what he did at Southern Miss. Plus...I never remembered USCe defense being that dominate anyway. I have no clue what we should do but I just have not seen any changes made in the last 3 weeks.

I can't wait to see who will be first to lay this game at the feet of Nick....it's coming..I can feel it.

A humbling lost ...

true....and some AU folks might be able to stand a little humbling....the arrogance on this board has been growing week by week....but it's football, played by mostly teenagers who make mistakes ...get over yourselves people.

Both the offense and the defense are responsible for this loss. It's unfair to put all the blame on the defense.

D made two great stops when it mattered ....the O let the game get away in many different ways.....so maybe Gus or Lashlee needs to hit the trail if that's the measure of people's satisfaction.

Defense put us in that position though. Our O can't be expected to always bail us out.

I think you exactly right. We really haven't looked like a top 5 team all year. Lucky bounces all ways turn the other way eventually.

It sucks. We weren't one of the best four teams in the nation though. We have the potential, but we just aren't there. We can still have a very very good season.
