And what happens if the defense doesn't give up 35? The SAME thing that happens if the offense doesn't fumble away the game....we win. It's on both. "If, if, if." You live in a fairy tale world of ifs. I'd prefer to focus on what actually happened here in reality - the defense played a huge part in the loss to state the clear obvious. AND the offense played a huge part in the loss with 2 key fumbles what would have won the game for us. Both are responsible, and if you can't see that, I have no interest in trying to persuade someone who's not open to reason. Fairy tale world? I dont think so. IMO a fairy tale world is giving up 35 offensive poinnts and expect to win. Yes Nick and Reese fumbled it away at the.end, but it should have never reached that point. However the defense is garbage and aren't worth their coaches jobs or scholarships. Abrasive m anyone's mms anytime your score 30+ you should win. Just curious...please help those of us who expect far more from the #3 team in the nation besides that atrocity of execution at the end on offense, horrific defense, and below average special teams? Id the refs call the game correct we win the game. Period Finally....someone with common sense. We bailed the D out against USCe so I guess we were suppose to the same today. This loss is ALL on EJ, the coaches on defense and players on defense. New to the board? I've pointed out ole Ellis hideous gameplans and apparent odd points of emphasis in 6 of our games this season and been hammered every time. We could be 5-4. That's not acceptable at auburn. Assess what the week link is and fix it. I know it won't be this year but I'd certain people have a job after this year. I have to wonder if this team is mentally exhausted after so many tough opponents in succession. The offense has not been clicking on all cylinders either. The whole team seems exhausted. This schedule was just too brutal. Coates has been a beast, so has Marshall and CAP... Duke was a beast until the injury tonight. The offense has more than carried its weight. But that means zero. The season is over unless all hell breaks loose. If u enjoy going to the banana bowl that's fine. But anything less than the playoffs sux ass. When a loss comes, and they're inevitable, a team benefits most from support not beration or vitriol. It sucks to lose, but it sucks more for those players and coaches that are far more invested in the team than any of us. After games like these I think of Edmond Dantès toast from The Count of Monte Cristo Life is a storm my young friend, you will bask in the sunlight one moment be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into the storm as you shout as you did in Rome. Do your worst for I will do mine. Then the Fates will know you as we know you as Albert Mondego, the man. or more appropriately I'm going to go kiss my wife, hug my kids and enjoy the time with them. War Eagle, everyone.
