lala 327
Can we start a grass roots campaign to get him back? Obviously Will and others ( MD HC) feel he is capable but having a mentor close is probably key to TRob. Therefore, you hire defensive analysts to assist with game planning practice prep and you fill that gap. If you feel the need to help in play calling that could be done with the other on-field replacement. Seems any concerns he may (or may not) have could be eliminated. Let's get this done, have a little consistency and keep the d-recruiting momentum going. DC TROB.

around4ever 4,139
If Coach thought TRob was ready to be a DC, I feel sure he would have offered him the job. TRob is in an ideal situation to learn how to be a DC. He will be running Muschamp's defense wirh Muschamp looking over his shoulder helping him with every decision. IMO, TRob will be a good DC in a few years if he stays with Muschamp. At that time, if we need a DC, he may come back home.

Gee whiz....he has even less experience than Thompson..and more or less like Lashley, has followed the same boss from school to school.....and we want him for DC? That's gotta be a joke...... isn't it?
jcollum243 0
I do believe we will see TRob again but I think this was viewed as a risky hire. Because he has no experience and is young.

As 64 says he has not even been a DC. We want to give that kind of on the job training without a HC that has a defensive background? The fear and trepidation on this board concerning a new DC is getting to the ludicrous stage.

If Muschamp had stayed a couple more years then maybe we could have taken that chance but not now

It's not the same.
