KEY STORYLINES

-How much of a factor is Auburn with Gary, the No. 1 recruit in the country? At one time, the Tigers appeared to be in his top two. Also, he had a good official visit to Auburn in November. But the departure of defensive coordinator Will Muschampprobably hasn’t helped. Meantime, Ole Miss has made a move.

-Where does Auburn stand with Myers? The Tigers appear to be trending with his brother, Craig-Myers, but little is known about Myers’ recruitment by Auburn. He’ll officially visit in mid-January. Are they a package deal?

-Smith, the standout linebacker prospect, will announce his commitment during the game. Auburn, Clemson and LSU are his finalists. But Smith was close with Muschamp, so Auburn might be third right now. We think.

-Is Auburn a top contender for Allen, the talented tackle from Louisiana? Right now, the only people that seem to be giving Gus Malzahn’s program much of a chance are sources close to the Tigers.

-Is Davidson elite? A 5-star, the Auburn commit hasn’t gotten much national attention. This is his chance.

Having so many committed Auburn players talking to the ones who are thinking about Auburn can only help us. It seems like we are in a better position with a few players at this game then we were a week or two ago. Craig and his brother Carter, Allen, Etc.. Hopefully this will push some if them to us.

It feels weird to have any optimism at all, yet I'm right there with you.

Woody Barrett to Eli Stove

Hit the receiver in stride. To many times this year and last year even when we completed passes we didn't hit them in stride. When you hit a receiver in stride he has a chance to turn a routine pass into a big play. When he has to stop to catch it big play is gone. There are times plays are called where you want a receiver to sit down in a zone to complete a pass and move the chains but this year I saw to many balls that were slightly behind receivers making them slow down or stop to catch the ball.

Yeah but look at the power...... Besides there aren't any rules in one on ones. lol

True!

I don't think you get a 5th star for committing 15 yard penalties.

Yeah that is true as well, but hopefully he has a great game. He will be competing against some great OTs in this game.
