From 2002-2008, Auburn held 51.1% of their opponents to at least 20% below the opponent's offensive average.

From 2009-2015, it has dropped to 26.1%.

It was 38.6% during 2015.

From 2002-2008, Auburn held 73.0% of their opponents to at least 20% below the opponent's scoring average.

From 2009-2015, it has dropped to 43.5%.

It was 52.6% during 2015.

The returning depth, experience and talent on the defensive line and in the secondary should result in continued improvement.

I'm.really excited for our secondary. I think we have the best in that area that we have not seen for sometime

They will get tested early when Climpsum hits the Plains in the fall.

We will find out where the defense is when they play Clemson.

Yes and no. Clemson would have to be considered one of the best offensive units in the country with a QB returning that will be a favorite to win the Heisman. We will not necessarily be able to tell how good AU's defense is based on just playing Clemson. Clemson will be a very difficult game.
