Carosone hit by a pitch. Runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out and here comes Kasey Cooper. Will they ever pitch to Cooper?

Cooper sends one to center, caught, Howard tags and moves to 3rd, throw comes in and gets away from the 3rd baseman but not enough for Howard to score. Carosone tagged up as well. Runners on 2nd and 3rd for Wallace. 2 outs.

Rhodes with a grounder to 3rd, throw to 1st not fielded and Rhodes is on to lead off the 7th. Haley Fagan pinch hitting for gipson

Fagan sends one deep down the line in left and it lands fair and gets to the wall and a run scores and Fagan stands at 2nd. Morgan Podany will pinch run for Fagan. 5--1 Auburn.

Shea grounds out on the infield, runner moves to 3rd. Jordan grounds on the infield and Podany Scores and Auburn leads 6-1. Victoria Draper up with the bases empty and 2 outs.

Draper grounds to short, throw to 1st and they call her out at 1st. That ends the top of the 7th but Auburn gets 2 more runs. Great to see Haley Fagan finally get a great swing and get a base hit. Her first hit of the season and it drives in an important run and leads to another one. Auburn needs 3 outs to move to the championship game.

Fagan getting a big hit was important. We have absolutely GOT to stop leaving so many on base and that depends on the bottom half of the order coming through. The competition gets tougher each step of the way from here on.

War Eagle!! What is scary about the lack of offense with RISP is the pitching we will see only gets better every round. The bats have got to come around.

Well, I would prefer to see us putting up 9 runs a game but that's not realistic given the pitching we are likely to face. The important thing here is WINNING GAMES. Let's look back at our post season scores from last year. In the Regional, we defeated Tennessee Tech 4-1, South Alabama 1-0 and South Alabama 7-4. In the super regional, We defeated ULL 12-11 (8 innings) and 6-3. So we only scored 12 runs in our 3 regional games last year (8 so far this regional) and 18 runs in the super. In the super, however, we also gave up 14 runs.

Our pitching is definitely better this year than it was last year with the added depth. I'll take the wins however we can get them.

Our hitting has been poor with runners in scoring position but it seems the opponents are pitching around our best hitters . It was interesting that USC was willing to walk Kasey rather than give her a pitch to hit with the bases-loaded . But , batters at the bottom of the order have got to come through to keep the winning streak alive .

LOL, think we're bad? Game four, OSU-JSU is currently in the 12th inning. They're something like a combined 3-22 with RISP.

At this rate, game 5 might not happen tonight. May be tomorrow before we find out who we get in the final.

Since some are still checking this thread, Oregon State vs. Jacksonville state is still going at Auburn. They are in the top 12th. Winner has to play South Carolina Upstate afterwards. I wonder how late this game will have to go before they move the next game to sunday morning? Should be interesting. Looks like the pitcher for Jacksonville State that started against us yesterday has thrown all 12 innings in this one so far.
