WCWS FINALS vs. Oklahoma -Game One Thread

Recommended Posts

Lexi Davis getting the start for Auburn in the circle tonight. They just interviewed Clint Myers and he said don't be surprised if we see a different pitcher from Auburn for every inning (unless they get a quick inning they may go 2. He says this is to help keep Oklahoma off balance and not give them the chance to adjust to a certain pitcher.

The motto for this Auburn team was 3 MORE DAYS. Well, they got it so let's finish the mission. In about 19 minutes we'll have first pitch.

Kind of surprised to see the SEC Network there and doing some pregame coverage. Good stuff.

Here we go folks. Let's do this. I've been doing these game threads since the season started back in february. The entire time, hoping and expecting Auburn to be in this position. Let's make the most of it.

Brave to try for third there. Oh well.

Carosone swings and leaves it fair, catcher gets up and makes the throw in time at 1st, Cooper rounds 2nd and heads for 3rd, throw to 3rd and she is out to end the inning. Oklahoma coming up bottom 1st.

Just shows they are pushing hard to put pressure on the ou defense.

Kind of glad to see Lexi get the start. I am sure ou has studied the other three to death.

Pushing hard is one thing. Breaking the cardinal rule of not making the final out of an inning at third is another. There's a hitter coming up who could have driven her in from second. Don't know if Cooper made the decision or Meyers, but it was wrong, even if she had made it.
