We were bound to lose one eventually.  Sounds like we made a good effort.

Yep. Kinda hurt to lose that one. AU had a lot of good possession and opportunity, but the aTm keeper was always in the right place to make the save.

Good effort but odd loss IMO, on paper we matched up very well against this aTm squad. A win over a comparable Tenn squad Thurs night sends us into the SEC tournament in our back yard on a high note where - with a bounce or two - we could win the whole thing.

Auburn cruises to 3-1 victory over Tennessee after trailing for about 10 mins early in the game.  Good bounce back game.  If the season ended now,  AU would be the 2 seed and play the winner of the 7-10 play in game.

SEC tourney began today with the play in games. Tennessee beat Ole Miss 2-0 to set up a rematch with Auburn from the regular season finale.  Wednesday at noon CT. Bama and TAMU are playing the other game.  Scoreless in the 80'. If any of you are in Orange Beach, head on over to watch these girls make a run at the SEC crown.

Nice game by AU....second time to defeat UT in about a week.     AU seeded #2 behind USCe in the tournament.....some tough games ahead.

5 min in and Arky gets a goal on what was clearly a foul. The had a great chance but it hit the crossbar. Le Beau was grabbing it over her head and the Arky forward (well, 2 of them) make contact with Le Beau knocking her down before she can secure the ball. Arky just taps it in and have an early 1-0 lead.

'25 in and Arky is controlling things right now. AU not getting organized on the attack and not much of a threat right now.

Note that USCe lost to UF in the other semifinal handing them their first loss. Winner of this one plays UF for the championship on Sunday.

35' and nothing has changed. Except a short spell where AU put in a couple of decent passes, Arky has had the possession and dispossessed AU quite easily. Not going AUs way to this point.

Was watching VB and missed it but Casey Ramsier gets her 4th of the tournament and it's 1-1.

arky get a ball in the box but Le Beau saves. AU hasn't done great clearing the ball this game.

I'm half watching soccer and half watching VB and I don't know what happened but AU is down to 10 players I think due to a second yellow for Clarke.

Sorry, that was a second yellow on Baston. The first was given after. Continuation and I don't think she knew she had a yellow.

AU foul just at the top of the box and Arky has a penalty. They convert 2-1 Arky.

That will do it as Arky get another goal. 3-1. AU will await their NCAA fate and watch UF take on Arky for the SEC championship.

AU played a good part of the second period against Arky short one player and could not over-come that.

They played hard and had some pretty good shots considering they were short-handed but in gambling to score on offense, they let Arky get behind them on their end and gave up a relatively easy long goal ....and of course on the penalty kick the odds are hugely with the kicker.  So ....down 3-1..

AU will get an NCAA slot and probably host a round?
