Auburn basketball continues to move up in the eyes of those around the country. That was further cemented Wednesday, when it was announced Auburn would play in the Maui Invitational in 2018, one of the country's most prestigious early-season tournaments, for the first time in program history.

Along with Auburn, the 2018 field for the tournament includes Arizona, Duke, Xavier, Gonzaga, Illinois, Iowa State and San Diego State. All 12 games of the event will air on ESPN.

This post will be updated.

Awesome. With that being said, I wouldn't take 3 hours out of a Maui trip to watch a single basketball game. That place is paradise.

This is another thing to commend CBP on . He has been able to sell the Auburn program to not only the fans but also to recruits and the outside basketball world . Every year since he has arrived , Auburn has been involved in some sort of early season tournament. Even without the results he has been doing a great selling job. The results will come. WAR EAGLE

Very impressive, of course that's become the norm for Bruce and co. lately. It really is amazing to see what is going on here.

That's a heavyweight tourney.  Pretty impressive to be invited.
